I booked a Fantasmic dinner package at Hollywood and Vine, mostly because I have heard about horrendous waiting times to get in to Fantasmic. Our reservation at H&V is at 5:00 p.m....a bit earlier than I wanted but hey, when you wait this long you take what you can get!

But 5:00 is a long time unil Fantasmic starts. Do we have to go directly to Fantasmic after dinner, or can we go do other things until it's time to go be seated for Fantasmic? And what time would that be, anyway? Is the waiting time really 2+ hours for Fantasmic in July? :confused3 I had really wanted to eat somewhere else that night, but if we really need to do the dinner package to get seats at Fantasmic then I'll stick with that...we're only at that particular park the one day.

Thanks!

We ate at H&V with the package on our trip earlier in June. The food was pretty poor and lightning and rain cancelled the show. A CS meal would be a big improvement at a 1/3 the cost.

I'd cancel the ressie if I had to do it again and just go to the show early enough to get in.

You do not have to go to Fantasmic right after dinner. We were told show up min of 30 minutes before the show.
