We have usually used the dinner package to see Fantasmic but the last time we visited last December my DH was using an ECV and we were shown to different seating in the middle at the back. We are hoping to see the 10.30 showing on 07/25/07 will we need the package or will we be ok for seating as he will have an ECV again?
We are using the DDP and have 4 TS which we hope to use at Citricos, Le Cellier and one other. If you recommend doing the Fantasmic Package we could change to the Brown Derby and pay for Le Cellier OOP.
What would be best please?

I've used the Fantasmic Dinner Package twice and I've just show up at the normal entrance twice. Both times on the Fantasmic Dinner Package we were seated in the far right section of the theatre above the package area seating. I believe we showed up about 45 minutes before show time on each occaision. On the 2 non package times once I showed up about 50 minutes before the show and got a seat very close to the center and once I showed up about an hour before the show and got one off to the far left side at about the same side distance as the package seats. So to me unless it's a very crowded time the package wasn't worth it.

Since you mentioned the 10:30 show I'm guessing that that is the second show of the night. The end of July should be a busy time but the scond show of the night is supposed to be much less crowded. Overall I'd guess they'd cancel each other out. My suggestion is to arrive about 45 minutes to an hour before the show starts and you'll probably be fine. But that is just a guess because crowds, rain cancelled shows, Extra Magic Hours and probably many other things could effect where you will sit.

I'd agree with that.
We have never gone to the late show, but I have read that it is less busy.

We have been to Fantasmic about 10 times (maybe more) and have not used the dinner package at all. Most of the times have been during Spring break, when it is very busy. We've usually come about an hour before the show began and got good seats.

The one thing that no one can know until you show up is how many other people who need the wheelchair spots will show up for the same show as you did. There are quite a few wheelchair spots though and I have seen people arrive as short as 10 minutes before the show and still get a wheelchair spot (although I would not recommend coming that close to the show beginning).

We've been a couple of times with me in a chair, and we've had no problems getting a spot. Last time we went, we turned up about half an hour before it started (bearing in mind this was mid September) and got good central seats.

Thank you for the advice. I valued having the peace of mind with the package but then we didn't sit in the designated area anyway. As we are going in mid July we will rest during the afternoons and go back to the parks in the evening when the heat is less.

:dancer: :dancer: :dancer: If you're like me with back and neck injuries and have a hard time walking and standing long, but love to dance like Elvis when you feel good, :yay: , I like the Polynesian resort because of the transportation system right there. It has saved me much pain and made our stay so much more enjoyable over our last visits compaired to staying at other resorts w/o the monorail system and after spending long hours in the parks, it's nice to just hop on and hop off without waiting for a bus or boat. The Floridian and Contemporary has the same, but, to me, the Polynesian has it all. I would like to see the monorail system at the Wilderness Lodge, for the longest time I've wanted to stay there, but transportation is a big selling point.
