Fantasmic dinner package - yes or no?

That's the other problem - it will only be my mom, my 9yo DD and me, none of us are big eaters, especially when doing the parks. :confused3
We're doing the FDP at Brown Derby. My DH and I usually have either an appetizer OR a dessert with our main course but rarely both. However, given all the rave reviews of Brown Derby's Grapefruit Cake there is no way I'm going to pass on dessert! Does anybody know if you can get your dessert to go? Our PS is for 6:20pm so I figured after dinner we will head right to Fantasmic. I would rather take our dessert with us, get some coffee and then go into the theater and eat our dessert some time during the 45 minutes we'll be waiting for the show to start (and after my meal has settled a bit!) or maybe even save it until after the show.

Has anyone done this? Will the Brown Derby box up our dessert for us (and provide plastic forks, napkins, etc)? Is there anyplace close to Fantasmic to get some coffee on your way in?

I'm hoping this will work for us and anyone else concerned about the amount of food you get with the FDP.

I don't know about boxing the dessert, but I DO know they do not sell any coffee in the Fantasmic theater so if you want coffee you'll have to get some along the way. It was a chilly evening when we were there and I was dying for coffee and there was none to be found.

Thanks for the tip. I'll make sure we get the coffee before we enter the theater!

They have gladly packed up dessert to go at Brown Derby for myself and I have read the same from others. In fact, I've heard of servers insisting if people decide to pass on dessert.

Good luck!

Thanks so much for this info. Everyone says the desserts there are wonderful so I definitely don't want to pass on dessert, but would like the option to eat it a bit later when I'll have a bit more room!

I am *so* looking forward to trying the Brown Derby and seeing Fantasmic for the first time!
