Our trip is the first week of October. Is doing the Fantasmic Dinner Package as much of a benefit then as it would be in the middle of the summer? You KWIM? Do the crowds that will be waiting for Fantasmic justify the package? My family incl. DH and myself and DD10 (who will be considered an adult at $36.99-ouch!) and DS5. And of course the dinner would not be included in the free dining. I don't mind doing it if the crowds will be bad and it will help us with seating cause I adore Fantasmic, I was just wondering if we *need* to do it in October. the menu at Brown Derby also looks good to me (we've done the package with Mama Melrose's before).

I have done the package at different times of the year and have always found invaluable. We always did Hollywood and Vine and really love(alot cheaper), but this time we did Brown Derby. I have always hesitated with the kids (4,6,and 8). It was fantastic!! We all loved it and the food was great. I especially loved the dessert.

I've done it at Brown Derby in October and find it to be great. The food at Brown Derby is very good for the money and even though you would probably be able to get in the show anyways I find it to be worth it to avoid having to show up 1-1.5hrs early

The food at the Brown Derby is some of the best we have eaten. It actually was a better deal for us to do the package there if you price out the different courses.

We just did the package at the Brown Derby and our 13 year old son was allowed to order off the kids menu, saving us the $36.99 for him. Our server saw him wrinkling his nose up at the menu and said he could order off the kids menu instead. I on the other hand never wrinkled my nose...the food was great! I had the cobb salad, the fliet mignon and the grapefruit cake for dessert....very nice. :flower:

I am glad you posted! I also have the Fantasmic Package with Brown Derby as my selection for Oct 12th...a Wed night. I know that it may not be "necessary" because the crowds may not be heavy, but I'd rather not chance it, PLUS, I have not yet eaten at the Brown Derby amd have always wanted to try it. So...I figured I would be on the safe side and book it.

Now...I just gotta keep calling back and try to get a later ADR. my ADR is at 3:50! that stinks!

Funny thing, that the great seats in the crowded July heat were REALLY HOT! We thought that we would die of heat when the Fantasmic flames came around! October is probably much, much better!
