We booked a Fantasmic Dinner Package for Nov at the Brown Derby. Now I've been told by a few friends that the "preferred" seating isn't that great. It's way to the right of 'center stage' and not that special at all. We had hoped to get great food AND great seats. Any thoughts?

When we went, we were in seats that sound similar to what your friends describe. They're decent seats, but not spectacular. I think the real attraction to the package is that you don't have to wait in line but are guaranteed seats anyway.

I agree...we weren't excited about the seats....but it was nice not having to wait in line so long.

Our seats there were fine and only slightly "off" the center. But it was good not to have to wait for 2 hours to get the good seats elsewhere. By the time we got to our reserved section, most of the middle of the stadium was all filled.

The first time I saw Fantasmic DH and I (we were on our honeymoon) waited in line for over an hour and we ended up sitting dead center of the action. It was amazing. 4 years later we were bringing our 2 year old and knew waiting that long would not work. We ended up booking a Fantasmic package. After dinner we were told where to go and we walked "behind the scenes" at WDW to the back entrance of Fantasmic. Our seats were also only slightly off center but they were AWESOME especially since we didn't have to wait for them.

Have a great trip!

We arrived and were seated first row to the right (one row over from the middle). I thought the seats were great!

Agree that the benefit of this package is not "great" seats, but guaranteed seats and no waiting. The seats are not Bad, go and have a terrific time!

Thanks. I guess I wasn't really thinking about the "line" problem. Not having to wait in line for 2 hours will make any seat seem GREAT :thumbsup2 . Can't wait for this trip - c'mon November!!!!

I also have young children (and a DH that hates lines and long waits) so I also opted for the FDP. I did this a long time ago (1995) and the preferred seating was the section slightly right of center - not a perfect view but not bad.

we've booked it again for our honeymoon this fall partially because there's no waiting for seats (we even moved more towards center last time because we found two open seats) but also because it's a great deal at Brown Derby. That was one of the best steaks I had at Disney!

When you arrive do you have to sit in those seats or can you move?

You are seated in the far right section. You could certainly move if other seats are available.
