Fantasmic Dinner Package + Osborne Lights

We're thinking about doing an early December trip this year and I had a few questions about timing... If I'm using 2014 December schedule as a loose guide, they will have 2 Fantasmic shows - 6:30 and 8:00. If we opt for the Dinner Package, can you reserve a spot for the 8:00 show? And if so, what is the latest dinner ADR time they have for that?
Also, if we'd like to see Osborne Lights before we head over to Fantasmic, will there even be enough time?
I was thinking around 5:00 ADR at Mama Melrose, stroll thru Osborne Lights, then head over to Fantasmic for the 8:00 show... Does that seem like it would work?
Our kids were little the past few trips for multiple late nights and MK always won out for night shows, so we haven't done Fantasmic yet. We've also never been to WDW during Christmas time so we've never seen Osborne Lights either.
We will be doing the DxDP so a TS dinner is already in the plans - I was just hoping to get both nighttime activities done in the same night. We will only be there for 5 nights so I'd rather not have to come back to DHS just to see one nighttime show...our family does DHS in one day... Mama Melrose is the restaurant we would be picking for dinner anyway, so I figured I might as well take advantage of the location for the Lights and the Dinner Package.

The F! Dining Pkg is only good for reserved seating at the first F!. The second show is not included. Usually the latest seating for the dining package is 2 hours before the show. Did you know that you can also use the dining package for lunch at MMs?

They turn on the Osborne lights shortly after dark, and they stay on for some time after closing. So you would still have time to see them if you went after the first showing of F.
