I booked the dinner package before Disney announced that there would be a 10:30 show. Is it easier to get on rides (ToT, R&R, TS) while people are lining up for the first show and while it is actually going on? I'd rather ride during this time and wait for the second show if there is an advantage. Also, we do want to see the Frozen Fireworks at 9:30ish.

The late showing of Fantasmic is the "hassle free" performance. Just show up and watch, the theater is often less than half full.

The lines for the headliners are their very shortest while the crowd is building for the early F! Riding Toy Story multiple times is not uncommon, and Tower is likely a walkon. RnR keeps the longest line late.

Keep in mind that Toy Story closes early on fireworks nights, but can stay open past the published closing time when the line is short.

I'm surprised you didn't get any recommendations for the early Fantasmic. It's much more popular, and much more crowded.

While we were there this past October, we thought the lines would go down during the first showing, boy were we wrong. Tower Stayed at a 40 minute wait with everything else stay right there too.

Posted wait or actual wait? In mid-summer we've often encountered a 30-40 minute posted wait, with a 0-10 actual wait. It's usually closer to 0 than 10.

I think the summer hours are longer than October which may make a difference. We like to visit when the park is open until 10 with Fantasmic at 9 & 10:30. That last hour and a half or so is magical.

The F! theater can hold about 7,500-8,000 guests.
On a busy day, DHS can hold about 25,000 guests.
Doing the math…
There is the potential for a heck of a lot of guests to be in DHS who are not at F!

Of those still out in the park,
it is of little doubt that a very high percentage of them are at TSM, ToT and RnRC.

True, but knowing how/when to hit the shortest lines is more art than science.
