Who is doing the dinner package for an October week night? We are planning on Monday October 17. We were wanting to skip the dinner package but I was hoping someone would tell me....oh good idea....or are you crazy? :rotfl: I could have a back up package for Friday Oct 21 if Monday doesn't work out. Does anyone know the cancellation policy for this package?

we're also doing it on 10/17! We're going to Brown Derby - I was disappointed b/c we could only get 4 pm at the latest and I don't know if the show is going to be at 7 or 8 b/c the emh hours aren't out yet. We plan on going later in the day, do dinner, ToT and RRC and go to the show.

We have 10/17 at 4:20 at Hollywood and Vine. I am so excited about it! I think the time will be okay, kinda early but the cm the show should be around 7:30, 8pm.

I figure if we are going to the show we might as well do the package so we do not have to wait.

I guess you are thinking to play it safe and book the dinner package? I guess I'm just feeling cheap with the package because we never eat that much food so it's so much more to book it...but we do have to eat!!! Also, I read on another thread that they add later seating around 25 days out from your date. Maybe you could check back and chage it. We are going later in the day too. Are you going to MNSSHP Sun pm? :flower:

we're actually doing the halloween party on 10/20 - we're going to Universal Horror nights on that Sunday. I decided to play it safe as we've never been to the show before - plus my dh has no patience and refuses to go to a show an hour early so this is the compromise. In fact, he has always refused to go to the show for that reason! He has always wanted to eat at the Brown Derby - he loves Cobb salads! I think the prices for H&V are a lot cheaper - you could try there.

I am doing the dinner package at H&V on the 16th, at 4:30. We tried doing Fantasmic one trip without it, never again!

I am doing the FDP Oct 12th which is a Wed night. We have ADRs for Brown Derby at *gasp* 3:50 pm! They better open up some later times!

We have FDP for Sat. 10/22 and Fri. 10/28 both at MM. The first is at 4:00 and the second at 4:30. We have done this before and find that if you call back about 2 weeks before you go, they sometimes release later dinner times.

We just really like MM and also have a 5yo and a 4mth old who would not tolerate the wait for Fantasmic.

We're booked for October 4, Hollywood and Vine 4:30. I plan to call and change the time when they open up the later slots.( about 30 days out)

Here's last year's times.

Fantasmic!
October 1-9 -- 8:00 p.m.
October 10-30 -- 7:30 p.m.
October 31 -- 7:00 p.m.

Can you do the FDP with the free dining?

Officially? No.

You can either book the package and hope they give it to you, or book normally and hope to get a voucher. Some have been successful at either, some haven't. With the former, you take the chance of having to pay out of pocket and then have to make plans on how to use the extra credit. With the latter, you take the chance of having to wait in the regular line.
You take a chance either way.

I simply booked the package at H & V and b/c I am not using a credit that night, doubled it up to use at California Grill.
