hi. i am totally confused on what to do for dinner the night we plan to see fantasmic based on what i have read/heard. i am up in the air, bc i don't think i would enjoy the restaurants in the package. we will be with our 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 year old the first week of nov 09. the only reason i am considering doing the package is to avoid waiting in an hour and a half line with my toddlers. any thoughts on this/experience w/o the package? also, what is included in the package in terms of food(entree/dessert/app ?) thanks so much.:confused3

I can't really speak to the food but if it is not appealing to you then don't do it. The packages are expensive, you should eat what you want. At a really busy time of year it would be worth having the reserved seating but the first week of November is not that bad. Plus, the seating is in the front corner of the theater and you will be the last ones out after the show. So balance that with having to wait a little before the show.

You don't need the dinner package that time of year. We went that same week in 2008 (oct 31 - Nov 7). We went in about 20 or 25 minutes before show start. Keep heading to the left - the further over you go, the closer to the front you can get. Of course it took longer to get out but I'd rather that then waiting 90 minutes in a line to get in.

You have plenty of time to decide since ADR's can only be made 90 days out now. That also gives you time to see what Disney does about scheduling Fantasmic, which is only being done 2 nights a week right now. If it continues to only being shown on a limited schedule, you may want to take advantage of the package because it will be more crowded even at a slow time of the year. But, your kids are very young and may not enjoy the show. Mine were fine with it when they were little, but my nephew was terrified when he was 4 and SIL spent 1/2 the show at the top of the theater hiding him from the show :sad2: You don't want to spend the money on the package or the time waiting in line if your kids are going to be scared.

The package does include appy/entree/dessert & beverage.

thanks for the advice. hoping to be able to get on line at the 30 minute mark. waiting with my 2 little guys for longer than that would be tough at that point in the evening. guess if one of them is scared, i will be taking him back to the hotel and having my husband meet me after the show. and the planning continues.....
