Fantasmic Dinner Package Changes

If you want to save a little hassle when making rezzies for PS, try 1-800-828-0228. You might get there a little quicker, and with less wait.

I called today to book our FP at H&V and the only options I had as far as times for dinner was 4:00 or 4:30. I chose 4:30, but that is a little early for dinner. Based on what I've read here, I will call back at 30 days out and try for a later time. Thanks for the tip!

I'm trying to estimate our food budget, and I can't remember if when I made the ps with my credit card I paid for it then or if it was just a guarentee. Does anyone know? Also if tax is not included do you get a bill at the end of the meal for that? And what about the tip?

We are going to Mama Melrose on dec. 23 Anyone remember what time the show is??

Thanks,
Robyn:)

Hello all,

Quick question. I just called to inquire about dinner times for H&V for Dec 21 - 23. Most of the times were before 4 with a few right at 5PM, Fantasmic at 7PM.

If you eat before 4PM is there a different price a lunch price (the dinner prices I have found were $21.99 for adults). I don't mind eating a late lunch if that is actually what it is.

Unfortunately you are charged for dinner for the fantasmic packages no matter what time your PS is !!

and, the CC is only a guarantee for a no-show-you do not have to pay with it.

We are having dinner at BD & then the 7 pm showing of Fantasmic, which we have never seen. If we get to the entrance at 6:30 is that enough time to get good seats?

I really want to squeeze in a little bit of time walking around the Osbourne Lights.

Will I have any time after before they close at 8pm?

thanks!

Absolutely, we usually allow about 20 minutes to get to our seats and have never had a problem (we tend to go in peak season so the Fantasmic pkg really pays off for us). Love BD-even if we don't go to Fantasmic it is one of our must dos. There didn't seem to be anytime afterwards to do much and with the throngs of people leaving it made it hard to get around.
I'd give yourself at least 1-1/2 hours to eat at BD-we usually book the first time we can (around 4) so that we do have some time to walk off that meal.

Thanks, Momrules.

Our dinner ressies are for 4:30. Can I ask you one more question? Is BD close to Osbourne Lights? I can't quite recall the layout of MGM. We are going to see the parade first also. Can't wait!!:sunny: :sunny:

We went President's Day week last year on a Thursday and the park was crowded and it was great to walk in 20 minutes to the reserved seating and relax before the show. It was also worth it to not have to deal with the crowds leaving since you also use a special entrance and exit. I thought the dinner at $16.95 was rather cheap for all the choices you get at Hollywood and Vine. I would do it again in a second even with the increased cost. We are going again the end of April. I hope they still offer the package.

We decided against the dinner package for several lengthy reasons. We'll be dining early at BD (PS @3:00) on Wednesday, February 9, 2005.

On this night there is ONE SHOW at 7:00 p.m. Since Wednesday is traditionally a slower night at MGM, we assume the crowd will be a little lighter.

We prefer sitting near the top, toward the center. With that being said, if anyone has done Fantasmic on a slow Wednesday in February ;~} can you please advise us as to:

How long before the performance they allow entry?

How soon before entry do people begin to line up?

What time should we plan to get in line?

Not at HBD-it's their regular menu-BTW, eventhough it's not on their menu as such, you can have a lobster tail added to your filet and it is still included in the price (it was a nice surprise when the CM suggested it and although it wasn't overly large it tasted pretty good)

This may surely influence whether we book package for December

Just curious...
How do you know what time the Fantasmic show is on Feb. 9? When I called to make a PS for Feb. 14 the CM told me that February's hours had not been posted yet and she couldn't tell me what time the show was. She told me to keep checking the Disneyworld.com website to verify park hours and show times. I check every day and they haven't posted anything yet.

Fantasmic is almost always at 7 and again at 8:30 or 9 based on if the park is open later.
I have decided not to use the dinner package- the night I am going there are two shows. The first show is always packed, great time to get in some drops on ToT. The second show is much less crowded.

:badpc: Darn I saw this post about a week ago and I am trying to get to Brown Derby for 12/9 for the Fantasmic Dinner Package and I am on the waitlist. I sure hope it opens up for us. We haven't seen Fantasmic for several years :flower1:

Wish us luck :flower:

Minybear-are you staying concierge? Is IPO not able to make those ressies for you? Sometimes they have better luck-and they will keep trying for you.

Keep trying on your own each day, usually somthing opens up at the last minute since there are cancellations all the time.

Enjoy your trip!

I am going by the schedule for the last week in January since we are visiting the first week in February. There should be no major change between the two, but if there is I can adjust some.

We did the H&V package and I was so thankful. People were lining up before we went to eat. We got to the park late that day (1st day) went to get FP's for Rock n Roller Coaster, went to eat, went back got FP for Tower, rode RRC then walked around a bit, watched some street shows and it was time for Tower, then we went to the show. It worked well. If we hadn't had this we wouldn't have been able to do anything, and we had a nice meal. Our meal was at 3:20, and it was a lunch dinner combo, and we had a snack in the park later. We enjoyed H&V.

However, it's not 16.95 anymore, it was 21, I think. Anyway, 3 adult and 2 kids was around 100 with a tip. Great service and great selection. We enjoyed it.
