Fantasmic Dinner Package and the afternoon parade?

Is is actually possible to watch the afternoon parade and book the Fantasmic Dinner Package? Or do they always clash?

Going in Aug when Fantasmic starts @ 8:30 and the parade is at 5pm.

Presumably it would mean eating at Brown Derby before 3pm or shortly after 5:30pm Do such slots exist?

Anyone managed to do both?

We have done both. The parade was at 5:30 and then we had dinner at 6:00 at H&V. It worked well for us. Try to get a parade spot on the side of the street that the Brown Derby is on. We do this all the time and your times are a lot like ours.

We did this but the problem is you have to be on that side you have the full afternoon sun - not good in August. Also everyone shows up at the same time after the parade so there's a longer than usual wait. The only suggestion I could make is to miss the last few minutes of the parade.

I have booked H&V for the earliest slot at 3pm for this reason. We're going to treat it as a late lunch, and then grab a late bite at the food court at POFQ before bed. Luckily DS 5 is quite flexible, and a late stayer-upper! Otherwise we would really have struggled cos we HATE to miss a parade - any parade!
