fantasmic dinner adr for sept problem

online system won't give me any sept dates for fantasmic dinner package at all (does show August).
anyone else know what the deal is w/ dinner package? (I am at work and can't make outgoing call right now to actually call WDW to ask them directly)

I was told that as long as you book between those times- you will automatically get the package. I asked the same- I could book those dinners, but they weren't saying that they were the package. We booked the H&V dinner at 5;30, and it will automatically get you the tix for fantasmic. Hope the CM I talked to was correct.

I would call and see if they have reservations. I had to call for mine; they were not online. They do sell out quite often. They only have so many tix as their is a reserved seating area when you get to the stadium. Having a regular dining reservation will not automatically get you tix for Fantasmic. You have to specifically book the Fantasmic package. Then, you have vouchers for a certain area but still have to get there in advance. About 15 minutes before the show they will open up that area to everyone. If you are not already in there and it fills to capacity you are out of luck, even with the voucher.

The card isn't charged, it's just to hold the ressie and also to charge cancellation/no show fee if that happens. (you have 48hrs before dining date to cancel without penalty).

When I made mine back in Dec (for May), I had to call. Now, the system has been updated to allow online booking as well. If you're having trouble finding one for your date, I'm sure it's because they're sold out of the packages. It wouldn't hurt to keep checking though.

OP- I just went online and looked up Sept. It's possible they might not have any of the package dates in the system for some reason since all of sept is blank (so ignore the "I'm sure" part on above post). Definitely call if you haven't already. I had a very hard time getting mine due to system issues (they were in the middle of a major upgrade) I think I called everyday for a week once my 180 days hit. The CMs all seemed rather confused as to why it was like that. When the dates finally showed up in their system, I was able to get my exact day and time. I was told by the CM it was my lucky day. as the pp said call and make the reservation. I am making them for Sept also and the calendar is not populated with the Sept dates but I was able to make a Fantasmic ressie at Mama Melrose over the phone.

I agree! You must book the fantasmic package, if you didn't book the fantasmic package, you will only be getting regular reservations for that restaurant without the fantasmic vouchers.

The dates may not be up yet... I ran into the same problem for our July trip.. all of our other ADRs were booked, but then I waited until the online reservations opened up, and I was able to book online for the Package,, and it wasn't sold out.

If the dates aren't up, keep checking back frequently.

You can't click on a date in Spet on their drop-down calendar. However, you can manually type in the date you're looking for. I did this for Sept 1 (typing in 09/01/2011 in the date field). I was able to secure the F! package at Mama Melrose's at 4:55pm for that day.

I did the same last week and was able to get a lunch package for 9/1 as well. Bad glitch in the system. Was driving me nuts there for a bit, but after a couple of tries, it went through.

I also had to call and book the F! package for 9/18; the online system wouldn't allow me to type in the date either.

There were both lunch and dinner packages available for Mama Melrose on this date.

I too had to call to book the Fantasmic package for 9/18. We chose Mama Melrose for dinner. I also had to give a credit card as a guarantee . When I access my reservation it says Fantasmic Dinner Package on it.

Yeah as PP have said, I don't think the CM was correct. I believe the latest ADR for a F! package reservation is 5pm too, which is a big reason some people don't like it.

I have managed to book my September Fantasmic ADR at Mama Melrose by typing in the date manually. I did have the same problems as previous posters where the date kept reverting to today but that was because I was typing in 9 for September instead of 09. Hope this helps someone to get their reservation.

THANK YOU THANK YOU! MUCH needed info! I kept typing in the date and it kept reverting back, until I read this post. Typed in 09/22/2011 and it came right up so I could make this last ressie and go back to bed! to you!
