I read on here a while ago that you could pre book seating at the Fantasmic show & have dessert, does anyone know if this is still available to book? How far out can it be reserved? 60 days?

Also, we will be in DL 24th aug - 27th Aug. When will the calander be available showing park hours etc? I want to make some dinner reservations but want to make sure they dont clash with firework/show times etc.

Also, will it be super busy the dates I have booked? I was hoping with it being towards the end of Aug crowds might have calmed dow a little.

Thanks for your help :goodvibes

You can make reservations 30 days out......example: if you want to go on August 25, you can call on July 25 (not 30 actual days....if that makes sense)

They have 2 showtimes 9 & 10:30pm (sometimes when busy they actually do a 3rd show). If you book the 9pm show, you can stay in your seats to watch the fireworks. It's a different view but we really enjoyed it.

Not sure the price is the same, but we paid $59 per person (no matter of age).

I suggest that you call exactly at 8am on the day you book.....the seats go quickly!!! You will also pay for it at the time of the call.
When you get to DL, the day of your reserved show, you will go to Guest Services at City Hall to pick up your tickets. The person that booked & paid MUST be the one that picks them up. Make sure you take your credit card you paid with as ID.

We found it totally worth it to do this. You show up around 8pm to check in & then can leave for a while & come back for seating prior to show. The show is awesome & the view can't be beat!!! The dessert box has something for everyone. Have fun!!!

Thank you so much for the info! thats exactly what I needed to know :thumbsup2

Just be aware that during the summer the seats go fast and people do start lining up for checkin around 1700 or so. It is on a first come first serve basis and the area aroung ROA is very slow moving bog of people making very difficult to go thru the area.

Here is some info on Fantasmic dessert: http://www.wdwinfo.com/disneyland-california/disneyland-fantasmic.htm

Will it be busy? Not so scare you but, yes, it will be extremely busy those days. That is the week the AP blockout lifts. See "Understanding AP Blockouts and Impact on Crowds" http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2365983

The calendar will come out sometime 4-8 weeks ahead of your dates. Here is what has happened in the past: "Historical DLR Park Hours, Entertainment and Refurbs" - www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2291124

We did the dessert seating the week prior to your dates last year, on a Thursday night. The line started by the churro cart before the podium arrived at 5:50pm for a 8pm check in.
Be sure to have someone in your group arrive early for best seats; seats are assigned first come first served.
It was crazy busy, once you are in NOS area, don't leave.
It is too hard to navigate the crowds. Go ride HM or sit and people watch. CMs will be out doing crowd control and it can be hard to get to your assigned area.
If you have the early show you can get seated by 8:30 and start enjoying the seat, goody box and drinks.
You are also allowed to stay for the fireworks :thumbsup2
IMO the first show is worth the $ because you get to stay seated for the fireworks and they will still serve you drinks :wizard:
another option fo picking up your tickets is Guest Services located outside the park to the left of the entrance. Not much of a line there compared to city hall :)
and like everyone else said be sure to call at 30 days at 8 am sharp! :goodvibes

I am looking into doing this, but I am haveing a hard time fegureing out the process after you check In?. Sorry:confused3, so when you goto sit do you have to line up again?,and Is is It possiple to get no seat? or Is there bad seats?. Also Is It a dessert Buffet or do they give you a box with a variety of desserts?:goodvibes

By having a reservation / ticket you are assured a seat. Some seats are better than others. When you check-in, you get to select your seat. So - the first to check-in gets first choice. Once you have your seat "assignment," you can come back later. You do not have to sit at that time, but many find the busy NOS pre-Fantasmic! to be difficult to navigate and chose to stay nearby.

It is not a buffet. It's a (quite generous) dessert box. Also, beverages that are provided via servers.

Here's a pic of the seating. You will notice the chairs are on a flat surface so the chairs are all on the same level, unlike in a theatre where a chair in front is slightly lower than the chair behind it.

ETA:
...we paid $59 per person (no matter of age).
Unless this is a very recent change, it's $59/adults, $49/kids (3 - 9). 2 and under are free if lap sitting.

Getting in line for check-in can start early because people want the front row. Most of the area roped off for reservations is 3 rows. We chose to be in the 3rd row....that way we could stand & stretch if we wanted without blocking people in our section. We also were able to set up a tri-pod.....again, not blocking others.
When you get close to the reserved area....ask any CM where to line up for check-in. I'd also suggest staying close to the area, because of the crowds. You will have a certain section....hang out near there & when they allow you to go in, you'll be seated without much problem.

You get a choice of drink that they will keep full during the entire show. You will also get a box filled with different types of goodies.

So people lined up over 2 hours early for reserved seating? Wow. If you are going to do that why even get reserved seating? It seems you can get a spot down by the water for free.

Some people like the chair, the goodie box, the beverages, the service, and - dare I say it? - being treated "special" in an exclusive area. (I personally think this is the main reason many do it.)

It's about the entire experience.

For these old bones it's priceless lol I don't do the concrete on the behind very well. Or the pushing, shoving creeping into my space. It's about the only line I will stand in. Hopefully WoC will get some pricey seating, otherwise I won't be seeing that without a lawn chair :)

...without a lawn chair :)
Which is not allowed at Fantasmic! and I would guess will not be allowed at WoC either.

(Not saying LuLuApple was being serious, but someone reading this will think, "Oooh, great idea!")

When we went last September, we arrived at 6:00 and there were already 2 different groups in front of us too, so unfortunately you do have to line up early if you want the front row.

I was trying to imply I won't be seeing it. ;)

WOC is supposed to be standing, I am sure they will have a handicap area.

In spirit with this thread on reserved seating there have been strong rumors of reserved seating for those at the GC Villas (like Jack :)) and those who book a dining package thru Ariel's Grotto.

I seen the goodie box,but is that all you get? the one In WDW has a actual Buffet:confused3
