Fantasmic Dessert Deal

We managed to get the balcony seating several years ago. They were doing something at that time that if you were staying a Disney hotel you could put in your request before hand and they would secure your tickets without having to call first thing when they were released. Does anyone know if they still do this? Also does anyone know the current price - is it $59 or $69?

We paid $59 in August. We sat next to a couple who had AP's and they were complaining about early they had to show up just to get a seat assignment. The line became so long that they had to move the checkin podium to half way inside the seating area since they were cutting into the vending carts access.

I noticed this thread and was interested as we had tried the Wishes Dessert party in WDW in December. The prices for that are around $50.00/pp (as I recall) and had unlimited trips to the dessert bar. But if you pay $69.00/pp for what is pictured, I think that's a bit much, expecially in comparison to WDW.

From what I understand you do get unlimited drinks and are served at your seats. However, I think those who buy are more interested in the reserved seating. I understand people really camp out for fantasmic. That is why we are considering it.

I agree it is pricey especially when you start doubling, tripling and quadrupling (sp?) for a family.

We do it for the seating and it gets expensive when there are 6 of us at times, but not to sit on the ground with the masses is worth it to us. There are unlimited drinks.

It is so worth the price to not be elbowed, sit on concrete and have your space creeped in on by people who squeeze in at the last minute. The CMs who work F! are really great at serving you. If you get the first show you can stay for the fireworks and the CMs will serve you more drinks for the fireworks. It's a special memorable experience

My mom thought it was nice and would pay to do it. My husband thought it was a waste, which it was for the two kids since they slept through it. I'd give it a try at least once to see what you think. I am glad we tried it.

We are planning our first DL trip in over six years. A lot of new things going on there. Do they have an area for wheel chairs?

Does anyone know where a place would be that we could all 4 of us be together with one in a wheel chair or scooter?

I have to agree that $59 to $69 seems really high for a seat and a box of goodies. Yes, they do look very nice, but....I have been to WDW for their dessert parties. Guess I am spoiled.

They have a wheel chair area right next to the entrance of the POTC.

You could get a spot right next to the roa walkway right next to the rope, as you could see from this picture.

You can't have the wheel chair next to the railings during the show, but you can have the wheel chair right in front of the ropes next to the walkway.

I had been debating doing this for our July trip. This sentence sold DH that we must do this! He definitely is not a sit on the ground and get elbowed kind of guy. I agree that it is pricey but as with everything Disney, you pay for the experience.

This might also be what gets us to do it. I remember when we were in WDW we got to the parade area super early to reserve front row spots. RIGHT before the parade started this woman jumped through all the people sitting there and made herself comfy in this TINY little spot that was open and STOOD right in front of our toddlers that we had with us! We were screaming at her to move that there wasn't room for her and she was preventing us from seeing but she just stayed there until almost the end. We were sooooooo mad! I can't believe the nerve of some people!

Yes, it is somewhat expensive but SO worth it. Took the family there in December and had a fabulous time. I actually liked the view better than the balcony, much closer to the action. We could even feel the heat from the fire on our cheeks. The CM's were great, gave us insight on Murphy, took family pictures for us and yes, let us stay for the fireworks after the first show. PLUS, we got snowed on and the kids loved that. I would suggest taking the train back to the entrance after the show, saved us lots of walking in the crowds and was a lovely way to end the evening. Another little hint, if your kids have to go potty and the bathroom back by the train station is crowded, just walk in the Blue Bayou and use their restroom. Nobody stopped or questioned us and it saved a potential accident from happening!

UNBELIEVABLE! There are just far too many people who only care about themselves, think they can wait til the very last second to get to somewhere that others have been waiting hours for and they can just barge their way on up in front of everyone else, including a child in a wheelchair. UGH!!

Your story just reminded me that the woman was standing smack in front of our stroller, the stroller was pushed back a bit from the curb so it wasn't sticking out into the road and so that if dd wanted out of the stroller she would have somewhere to stand. That was where the woman decided to park herself. Obviously if we had known that someone would have the audacity to do that we would have made sure we had it sticking out further. My blood is actually boiling just recalling the whole incident!
