My 6yo DD and I are heading to DW Feb 11th-16th (Tues-Sun). We have a four day hopper. In regard to Fantasmic, does it tend to be more crowded on a Saturday night vs one of the other nights that I'll be there. I thought it would be nice to do as our big last night treat. We've never seen it before and it sounds great! That Saturday is the beginning of school vacations up here in New England when we all flock to the south! :)

Presidents Day is the 17th. Crowds overall at beginning of your trip will be significantly lighter than the last three days when the Presidents week crowds move in. Fantasmic will tend to fill to or close to capacity all the nights you are there; just at the beginning of your stay it won't reach that stage until closer to show time than the days at the end of your stay.

Weekends in general are more busy than weekdays due to locals coming in.

We will be at WDW next Wednesday thru Friday, leaving Saturday morning for our Disney cruise. We have Cirque tickets for Thursday evening. Should we see Fantasmic on Wednesday or Friday evening? Is it an outside theatre, will we need to dress particularly warm to sit outside on concrete benches? Any help would be appreciated, I'm packing today!:bounce:

Fantasmic! is held in an outside ampitheater. We like to sit at least halfway to the top, because in the bottom half you might get wet if the wind is blowing from the wrong direction. Part of the show is images projected on screens formed by water-mist.

We last saw it on 1/1. It was a warm night (by Michigan standards) and we were comfortable in light windbreakers. The aluminum benches warm up quickly, and were comfortable for what they were. I like to see the show when the venue is full. On 1/1, the enthusiastic crowd performed 'The Wave' for a full fifteen minutes before the show started. What a great time we had!

Plan to be at MGM Friday 14 Feb (start of Presidents crowds). How busy will Fantasmic be that evening and when would you recommend going in. We have considered the Package but at the moment have decided not to do it!!! Advice please

Fantasmic is always crowded. MGM can seem dead all day, but then everyone shows up for Fantasmic. I would plan on being there an hour to 45 minutes early. You can get drinks and snacks to eat while you wait. It is well worth it.
Enjoy!
