Hey guys & gals, quick question for ya'll that I was wondering if I could get any assistance with.

Back during our last trip in October 2012 we had intended on seeing Fantasmic on our Hollywood Studios day, and even booked the restaurant reservation for the "premium" seats.

Unfortunately, due to some tropical weather in the area, winds were high that evening and Fantasmic was cancelled. We were told at guest services for the park that we would have a ticket credit for Hollywood Studios that we could use on our next visit. Unfortunately that was the last day of our trip so we couldn't use it then.

Has this happened to anyone else before? I called the number used to book tickets to inquire if they could tell me anything about it and the customer service rep told me that's handled at the park level and I'd have to call them directly, but they're closed for the day, so it looks like I'm calling tomorrow.

I was just wondering if that's something that would have "expired" by now or if it's something that sticks around forever.

Not a "normal or typical" occurrence.

Typically, if the show is cancelled and you had the Dining Pkg.
you just miss out.

HOWEVER, if you go to DHS Guest Relations (inside the park) and very nicely explain
your situation, it is possible that they MIGHT be able to help you out a bit.

Hmm. Well, next trip isn't for another 12 months, I'm just doing some pre-pre-pre-planning at this stage, and obviously if I have a park ticket with my name on it already, that's one less ticket I have to pay for.

My answer holds for 12 months from now, so good luck and have fun!

Well, I'm gonna have to call tomorrow and see what I can find out.

I don't want to assume that there's a ticket there with my name on it, buy too few, and then be short one when I arrive.

How many days do you plan to have tickets for. It really won't make a difference if you are already getting 3 or more day tickets. after that, the per day price to add isn't much. It really would only be beneficial if you are doing a one day park visit.

We went to Mickey's Not So Scary party and it rained quite a bit off and on that night. The parade and fireworks were both delayed by over 2 hours but still went on. Despite the rain and delays we had a fantastic time.

As we were leaving the park CM's apologized for the inconveniences and passed out vouchers good for another day at Magic Kingdom good for 1 year. We already had a pass good for the length of our trip and never ended up using it but was a nice gesture we never even asked for.

~I have never heard of this. What a nice gesture on Disney's behalf. It took us three vacations to finally see F! I like that you could use the ticket credit like a park hopper, if you don't have park hoppers or as an bonus day at DHS. I would follow up on that offer. :goodvibes
