we will be at WDW for Easter and have been warned that it will be very busy......from forums I have read it would seem that fantasmic should not be missed but that in order to get a good seat you need to start queuing at least an hour before it starts.. however if we book a meal we can get a ticket which allows us to go in with a shorter waiting time.....can anyone tell us which resteraunt to book and how long before the show....is it a show? ....starts should we book our meal in order to be out in time for the show

I highly recommend booking at Hollywood and Vine. The food is excellent - and caters for all the family. The Dinner Package seats tend to get booked up. I would ring and book now for Easter - if you haven't already. The people who answer your call will have all the details.

I'll second the hollywood and vine, great choice of food. we did it at thanksgiving and only allowed ourselves 15 minutes to get to the amphitheatre (this was due to the restaurant being so busy and we were seated very late) but it was fine, we got really good seats - the ones right down at the front.
Its a great show though, try not to miss it.

We also loved Hoolywood and Vine and will be going back this year. My mouth is watering at the thought of those small desserts. They are small so you can try them all!!!!

We had the reserved seating. All it is though is that a hugh part of the arena is roped off for dinner guests. We arrived about 40 mins before the show started and a lot of the seats in the diners part were taken.

Next time, I'm going to go earlier and leave the boys who can carry on with the rides. It was a very busy day when we vistied though. It was a Thursday in June.

The seats are wooden benches, so you could go in and get your seats, so everyone knows whereabouts you are and then some could go back into the park.

Have a lovely time, it's a great show.

when you make the reservation, specify that you want the fantasmic dinner package.....it doesn't matter when you eat dinner, you come back for fantasmic about a half hour before the time....we ate early dinner at the Brown Derby and then had some time before fantasmic..

and by the way, without the dinner package, you have to line up for an hour on regular days....during Easter, my guess is you would have to be there 2 hours in advance if you don't do the dinner package...

we have done the dinner package three times, first twice was H & V so we decided to have a change last year and booked mama melrose, it was much more expensive and food was no better, quite small portions, would not go there again, would go to H & V everytime, great price, very clean, excellent service and atmosphere, lovely buffet food. yum! :teeth:
