Yes, you can...sort of. You'd have to start walking out of Fantasmic just as the finale is starting (you can see it as you walk across the stadium) and are the first one out. You still will be a few minutes late for JBJB, but you'll see the majority of it.
Thank you everyone. We have seen Fantasmic multiple times so I would rather se JBJB but we are travelling with a family that has never been to Disney and they want to see Fantasmic.
Very difficult to do as noted above. Unless you are one of the first out, it can take 10-15 minutes or more to get out of the theater, then the time to walk up the street to really see JBJB.
Unfortunately, they are timed to really be able to only see one show per night. Of course, if they timed it so you could see JBJB after Fantasmic, the crowd to see JBJB would be too large for the area.

Then I'd definitely suggest doing both, as I outlined above. If you've seen Fantasmic, you know when the finale starts. Tell the family that you're travelling with your plans. As the boat with all the characters is sailing around, start to head for the exit. They'll have to do a bit of rubbernecking, but they'll still get to see it all. When the final firework goes off, you'll be right at the exit and one of the first ones out of the stadium. You'll have a clear path to JBJB and won't have trouble getting a good spot. As I said, you'll miss the first couple of minutes, but still see most of the show.

This drives me crazy and is one of the reasons I hate getting stuck in the the back of the stadium when I’m needing an accessible spot with my wheelchair/ecv. The mass exodus before the finale is over.....ugh.
