We will be at DL on Sept 11th, 12th and 14th, The DL calander doesnt yet show the schedule for this time but I assume that Fantasmic and the fireworks will only be on the Friday night and I will be able to see WOC one of the other two nights. I plan on doing reserved seating for Fantasmic- can you pick which show you want that for when you book? I know you can see the fireworks from the fantasmic area but its not as good as being in front of the castle/down main street, can you make it back to main street after the first show in time or stay on main street for the fireworks then make it to the second fantasmic show?

You can pick an early or late F! with the desert package. You have to check in for this before the first show, even if seeing the later show at 8pm.

Recent experience, we did fireworks (watching from the hub, very close to the entrance to Frontierland) and second Fantasmic (watching from the sitting only area immediately in front of the sound board) and found it very easy.

Fireworks were 9:30, second Fantasmic was 10:30.

They held us at a rope near the steamboat dock from 9:55 until 10:10 or thereabouts before letting the (fairly good sized) crowd walk up towards New Orleans Square. Most people stopped very early, if you continued around towards the raft dock for Pirate's Lair there was a LOT of easy great vantage points in regular standing OK space, too.

No need for dessert package, IMHO, if going for second show.

At least for the summer timings when we were there (a couple of weeks ago), it was impossible to do first Fantasmic and still see fireworks reasonably well, first Fantasmic was at 9 PM and fireworks at 9:30 meant that you'd have just a few minutes to run over to the hub... and of course a gazillion people would have taken all the good spots.

thanks for the post. I hope to do the same thing but not that familiar with DL. From the map I can see 3 different paths from the hub to Fantasmic. Can you give me an idea of the best way to get from the hub to Fantasmic?

thanks

For your visit there will only be two, the upper entrance is now a costruction area.

The one through Adventureland can be a disaster. Because F! can run before and after the fireworks. F! will show and those guets try to get out, they squeeze through Adventureland which is very tight. Other guest go through the Frontierland entrace which is where you want to go.

Depending on where you watch Fireworks from there is an acces path left open which you should try to stand near and get on as soon as the fireworks end. Take this depending where you sit, counter clockwise around the hub to get in front of the Castle. Then get over to the Frontierland entrance. Keep right and get around the people coming out who just watched the first F!.
