Tuesday, January 3rd - MGM hours are posted as 9:00 to 8:00
Fantasmic hours are listed as 7 & 8:30 PM.

Could this be right with second Fastamic time 1/2 hour after park closing?? It's not listed as an EMH night.

Yes. They do sometimes run Fantasmic after park closing. They need at least 1 1/2 hours between shows. So Fantasmic must be after closing if they want two shows on a night when the park closes at 8:00pm.

This past week we visited MGM to see the lights. My daughters saw Chp and Dale and wanted a picture. While in line the guy stated that Pluto would be out at 8:30. However the park was scheduled to close at 8:00. I guess they keep that area open later. :confused3

The stated park closing time is when they close the shops and attractions, but they've often presented Fantasmic after that, during our visits on the off-season.

My BIL went to an "after hours" fantasmic and he said it was great, especially leaving the park afterwards. I look forward to trying this out on our next visit.

Well, thats when they close the attractions and some shops. However many shops will stay open long after closing. Its never too late to take your money.

The hours you see posted are only for attractions and stores.

The park itself (in terms of you being able to stay) is MUCH later than the hours posted.

Last week we stayed at the MK nearly 2 hours after closing to take photographs. Not only were we welcomed to stay, the employees offered to take our photos for us. We were the ONLY ones in the parking lot when we left and the ONLY one on our monorail (I think we got the last monorail out).
