fantasmic 2nd show of night ???

hi, we are going to wdw in june. they have 2 fantasmic shows scheduled most of the nights we are there. we actually have not seen fantasmic because we didn't want to wait in the lines for it. is it any different if you go to the second showing??? can you just walk in at the last minute and still get a seat or do we still need to wait in a line??? thanks

We did the 2nd show during Christmas week, 2003 and the theater didnt fill up. The end section on both sides remained empty through out the show.

We experienced the same thing on April 19, 2005. Interestingly, there were a bunch of people that didn't make it into the 8:30pm show that waiting in line for the 10pm show. I felt sorry for them that they wasted all that time in line when they could have been enjoying some other attractions.

Last show of the evening is always less busy. If you don't care where you sit, you don't necessarily have to wait.

Always see the last showing of Fantasmic! on a given night. There can be up to 3 showings of Fantasmic! per night and you should always try to see the last one because it will always be less crowded.

We went to the 2nd showing and I have a mixed review.

I planned for us to do the second showing because I had read it would be less crowded. It was not crowded at all and there were plenty of empty seats available. Another good thing is that it gives you more time to enjoy the rest of the park.

The bad part was that we ended up staying up way later than my DS(4 at the time) was used to. He got pretty tired and I think he would have enjoyed it more if we went earlier.

I would say that if you choose to do the later show, do not show up early. If you are there early for the later show, you end up getting hearded like cattle in too small of a pen until they finish cleaning everyone out from the earlier show. Wait until just before it starts and you will still get a decent seat.

We saw the 2nd show during Easter week (very busy in the parks!!!) and just walked in right when the show started. We had great seats off to the side and there wasn't anyone in front or behind us.....

Since EMH begins after the park closes (and after the showings of F!), it will probably mean elevated attendence at the show, but I think most people who come for EMH in the evening arrive when EMH starts, which is after the Fantasmic! showings.

We went to the second showing last July and it was packed! But I'm assuming it wasn't as packed as the first show. I think it is still a better bet.
