Hi! We are leaving in 11 days. I am curious to know if they added another Fantasmic! to last nights show?

We are stressing about going to HS with the crowds of other people but our ADR's have been made for awhile and I think it is too close to change.

I am hoping, praying that they will have either another showing that night or another showing somethime in the week that we are there.

For those of you that have been lately and they have had a second showing, was that showing very busy??

Thanks so much!!!!

I can't answer your question. But I have the Fantasmic Dinner Package reserved for Monday, Feb. 9. See you in line!!!

Thanks! We (my family) each choose 2 meals, my dd11 wanted to eat at Sci Fi really bad so...I guess we will be waiting or skipping!

We're in the same boat (but leaving the day before you). Our plan originally was to see Fantasmic on the 9th and the 12th, but the crowd reports lately have been making me really nervous. At this point I'm not too sure what to do. :confused3

We'll be in that line too! I plan on waiting the 1.5 hours we need to so that we can see it. My parents have never seen it and they probably won't be back to the World in a very long time so I consider it worth it.

Fantasmic is my 2nd favorite thing to do at Disney, after Spectromagic!

Yes, there was a second Fantasimic! last night

Yup- we were at the park, and a CM told us that there was going to be a second show. The first was at 7, and the second was at 8:30, I believe. We didn't stay- had to drive back home to NC, so we left at noon. The park was BUSY- lots and lots of Brazilian tour groups.

Nice, that would be a great time for all of you. We haven't tried it but hoping to watch on our next trip.

Have a nice and safe trip coming. :)

Honestly? I think people are stressing WAY too much about lines and crowds for Fant!. There were lines and crowds BEFORE Fant! shows were cut back, and there would be lines and crowds if they went back to nightly schedule.

There are massive lines for TSM and Soarin' and Candlelight, and people just deal with those. They know there will be a wait, they know they need to get to the park at rope drop to get their Fastpasses or that they need to get their dinner packages or wait in line, and they just deal with it as the thing they have to do in order to ride the ride. I don't get why people can't just do the same with Fant? If you want to see it, just resign yourself to crowds and lines, the same way you do with any popular ride or attraction. Why all the stress??

I have an easy answer. Two, actually.

1) If you are in line for Soarin' or TSM at 6:00 p.m., you are guaranteed to get on the ride. At some point. If you are in line for Fantasmic, it's possible you might NOT be permitted inside. ANd if you are, you might have to be in standing rom only. Especially with kids, you can imagine that having a seat would be a very high priority. So with the RIDES, you are guaranteed to get in and you are guaranteed a seat. With Fantasmic, you are guaranteed neither.

2) We aren't table-service people during WDW vacations. We simply don't do it. Maybe one character meal, and that's it. We don't want to waste our time or money because it's just not what we like to do. I made an ADR for the Fantasmic DInner Package to make sure we get seats for Fantasmic, and to act as a sort-of Fastpass so that we don't need to wait in line as long as we'd have to do otherwise. But since I made that reservation, things have changed. There's no longer a separate "Fastpass" entrance, and there have been reports of people who have FDP vouchers who haven't gotten in or who've had to do SRO. Since that type of meal is nothing we'd spend the time or money on under normal circumstances, I'm stressed that we'll spend that time and money and have it all go to waste.

Does that help you undeerstand where at least I am coming from???:)

I really hope they change back the schedule.DH and DD has never seen it ( I have several times)and it is on their must do for our next family trip in December.

Not really. I still don't see how they are different.

If Soarin' were your favorite ride and you knew you had to stand in line for 90 min for it (because FPs were gone), you wouldn't stress about that, right? You'd put it in your schedule, plan for it, have stuff to keep the kids occupied, get a snack ahead of time, etc. It would just be something you were willing to do because you want to ride the ride. And you'd also have your limit -- "I'll wait for 90 min, but not 120 min." If you got to Soarin' and the wait was 100 min, you wouldn't ride.

Why is the same not true of Fant!? You know that you'll need to be in line for X min to get a seat for Fant! To be guaranteed a seat, you know that 90 min or 2 hours is the norm. So, you put it in your schedule, plan for it, have stuff to keep the kids occupied, get a snack ahead of time, etc. It's something you're willing to do because you want to see the show. And you would also have your limit here -- I'll wait for 90 min, but not 120." If you're being told that 2 hours is the normal wait for a guaranteed seat, and you don't want to wait that amount of time, then you don't see the show.

The difference between the two is that if you decide 40 min out to try Fant! and see if there's space available, it's possible that you MIGHT get in. If you decide to wait in the Soarin' line for only 40 min on the off chance that the line goes super-fast and you'll get to ride after only 40 min instead of 90, there's pretty much NO possibility that you will.

But it's still your choice. You know what you have to do to ride the ride or see the showl it's just a decision as to whether or not you want to. So I don't get the stress level.

I am also interested in this. as we are planning to go to fantasmic that monday night also. I just looked at the calender on WDW site and at least the EMH are gone for that Monday!! And spectromagic is at MK that night also, so keep the faith!!!!

My internet is acting up and I can't seem to find when Fantasmic is showing. We will be there this Sat & Sun. Will it be showing?

Thanx

I'm sorry, but I have NEVER waited more than 10 minutes for any ride. If you tour properly, collect fast passes, etc. You don't have to wait for rides. We skipped Fantasmic even before they made it 2 shows a day because I thought waiting 45 minutes was WAY too long. So we only did Wishes and Illuminations where we only got in a spot for 20 minutes, which still felt like forever. Yes, it is your choice but a lot of people like that show so they plan their vacations around it, so that is their stress. I saw it once and don't understand the attraction, but I can see why this affects people. I told my friend who is leaving tomorrow to avoid DHS AT ALL COSTS on Fantasmic Day.!!!

Christine

Sounds like planning on at least 45 mins-1.5 hrs is normal for the Fantasmic line? Do they post a 2nd show on that day because I don't see it on the schedule for the next couple of weeks?
Thanks for the info.

If you are talking about Monday 2/9, then the WDW calendar on their website is wrong. I called the WDW info line twice and both times they told me that there will be EMH on 2/9 at DHS.

The DIS calendar says this also.

Yes I am talking about feb 9th.The WDW calender did show EMH for that day but today it change on their web site to no EMH. Who knows!!!:scratchin their web site calender is a mess these day!!! I was sure hoping!!
