Sam - I know you were married last year after me and I wanted to know if you have received your photos from Ransy.........I have had some serious issues and am still waiting on some..............Please let me know if you alsoi received the disk with the originals............

Anyone else have any issues??

I had no real problems.
I rec'd my proofs with in a couple of weeks.
The cd was not in the proofs as should have been and I got that a few weeks later.
I did not use him for reprints as the cd is great quality so I took it to a kodak picture maker and made my own enlargements. There was no copy right or anything.

I have had some issues with Randy in getting enlagements done. They haven't been ready when I was told they would be, and when I did get the enlargements, some of hte ones I ordered were missing. I'm still waiting for an update on my album, and I haven't gotten my cd yet, even though I was told they would send it with my enlargements. I do know that the hurricanes got them behind on stuff, so I have been trying not to be a post wedding bridezilla, but the waiting is driving me crazy! But, I still loved having Randy at my wedding, and I love my pictures!

We had Randy for our intimate wedding. Happy with our pictures, not happy with the customer service. We were told things were sent out and they weren't - when we called back "oh, here they are", etc. And this happened not once, but several times with our album, then again with our negatives. We did get our proofs and our negatives in the end though. We got the reprints done at home, and there were 2 shots on the negatives that we never received proofs for - not that that's a huge deal everyone makes mistakes, just thought I'd mention it.

Just keep calling occasionally. It made me feel like I was doing something, and I knew if something had been sent. As long as you're polite I don't see what harm there could be in that... What bothered me the most was being told something was done when it wasn't. I completely understand how things can back up (this was pre-hurricane too), so just be honest and tell me it'll take a while for my pictures. Sure, it's not going to make me jump up and down for joy, but at least it's honest and I wouldn't be expecting them every day in the mail...

Also be aware that your disk won't be sent out at the same time as your proofs - this makes it easier to fix should one become lost in the mail.

When was your wedding?
Mine was mid oct and by the begining of Nov I had everything--in fact he had gone ahead and got all my proofs done for me before we even left Orlando-unfortunately due to commitments on both our parts we were not able to find a mutual time to meet up so he had to ship them.
Hope you haven't been waiting since Hurricane season-that would be simply unacceptable.

My wedding was in June. When I sent my album and enlargement order info to Linda, I did tell her that I didn't need to have my album done by christmas since I knew she was swamped, but that I did need the enlargements as some of them were christmas gifts. I finally got the enlargements fed-exed to me the monday before christmas. I am hoping to hear from her this week about the enlargments that I didn't get.

I was married the beginning of November and had the disc with me when I left Florida. The proofs I received shortly after Christmas. Not too bad. I haven't asked for any enlargements yet though.

I'm sorry you are having issues with Randy. We got our proofs and CD's 2 weeks after the wedding at the end of our honeymoon, he didn't have any other commitments at the time and so was able to do this for us so that he didn't have to ship.

As far as my albums and enlargements go I am ashamed to say, even with Linda's constant reminders to me - bless her, that I've done nothing on that - it's just soooo hard to decide but Paul and I are going to make a conscious decision to do this very soon but not pick them up until we go out again in May for our 1st Anniversary

If you need me to help in anyway I'd be glad to.

We got married between two huricanes and it took a month to get our book and the cds. I received a color cd and a black and white cd. I called Randy and told him I wanted a cd w/ all the pictures in color and I had it in 6 days. I did find I got things faster if I spoke w/ Randy instead of Linda. I can't say enough nice things about him.

I have heard alot of things about Randy Chapman -- good (& some of the above, not so good) I love his style of photography & am interested in having him do my wedding. Can anyone give me an idea of how much he costs? I am not interested in having any photos printed (I can do all of that) -- I would just like for him to photograph a little of the pre-wedding, getting ready... the ceremony... group shots... and a little from the reception dinner. Then I would just like my photos on CDs. Any information is greatly appreciated!

Just an FYI.

Randy did our wedding pictures in July of 2003 and the service was excellent. So much so that in December we had him take family portraits of us at the Boardwalk, also fabulous pictures.

Anyway, I have kept in touch with Randy and during our conversations to book the December shoot we chatted about the hurricanes. He did mention that he had extensive damage to his home and was having to deal with the insurance company because their claim amount was much less than the repair estimates he was getting.

I am sorry you have had some disappointments with the service, but please remember that many families were drastically effected by the hurricanes.
