Is anyone familiar with the "Fantasia Reading & Game Room" mentioned in the December Navigator from the Magic posted on Dave's Tribute site? Is this new? On the Magic only? I don't think it was available on the Wonder last November. Since our family packs a few pounds of reading material on vacations, it would be nice to have some books already available on the ship.

Unfortunately the game room and library are nothing special. Very few books and a few worn games with lots of missing pieces. This is one area where Disney could definitely improve. Definitely bring your own books and games.

I concur... the "reading and game room" wasn't great. We took advantage of it when our children (DD 12, DS 7) did some homework there during the cruise. They were missing a week of school and needed to get a few things accomplished while on vacation. It worked well for that purpose, the games and magazines were lacking.

Sad but true. I also bring a ton of reading material with me whe we travel. It is down on deck 2 and is a small room with really hokey books that very few people would actually read. They had quite a few copies of Leonard Nemoys auto biography! Nothing else stood out. Hit the library before you go- you will be much happier!

Sadly, we contribute to the demise of the game room every time we cruise!

You see, we always check out Scrabble to play while our DS (1) sleeps in the evening. Somehow, when we return to land, we always seem to find a stray tile in our luggage--that has somehow been placed there by my DS, since he always seems to find where we hide the game under the bed in our stateroom and then proceeds to toss the tiles all around the room!

Of course--ALL the Scrabble games in the game room are completely crazy, and have things like (3) X's and only (2) A's. It makes it a real challenge to play!

We will take some photos of the game room when we sail on the Magic in May (there isn't one on the Wonder, right?! I've never seen it, but then again, I've never looked).

When we cruised in Oct/01 I tried to go in a few times for curiousitys (sp?) sake. It was always closed. There was always a sign on the door saying reserved. We were on Deck 2 so I went by a lot, but i did not always remember to check.
