which resorts have ceiling fans? my hubby needs the noise and we would like to save space in the car by not packing a fan.

we also do not have a phone with apps so the noise app is not an option :lmao:

TIA

The Moderates and Deluxe resorts have fans. Values don't.

Even with a ceiling fan, some of them are so quiet that it may not help you.

How about tuning the clockradio to AM and find a spot with a lot of static?

We stayed at POFQ and had a ceiling fan.
My husband to must have a fan blowing right on his face while he sleeps. I found a small one about 8in by 11in and about 3 inches thick for just under 15.00 at Meijer and it was very light and didn't take up to much space and we packed it in our luggage and took it with us. it will go back again in Oct.

We tayed at AKL and they had a ceiling fan. However, it blew on our feet with the way it was positioned above the beds, and my dh also needs one blowing on his face. Wierdo!! So since we didn't have a car, he was going to get a taxi to take him to WalMart ($20) buy a fam ($10) and another taxi ride back to the hotel ($20.) On a whim he went down to the front desk to see if they had one and 5 minutes later a maintence man arrived with a box fan for him. He was in heaven, I think his exact comment was "This must be part of that Disney Magic," LOL!!!

So anyway, if you ask, you could possible supplied with one.

They also make a very small "noise" machine that's smaller than a tea cup saucer. It takes batteries and would not take up much space at all for packing. I just saw one tonight at our local chain pharmacy.

We have requested a box fan before from housekeeping, and it did do the job as far as ambient noise - the ceiling fans are very quiet.

The ceiling fans don't make any sound, so we always pack our fans from home. That way we know we will sleep. ;)

thank you so much for the suggestions...I think box fans are too loud and I can see about the ceiling fan not being loud enough. We have a stand fan in our room and as soon as the hubby turns it on I have to build a "wall" with the blankets to block it from blowing on my face and ear. I am sure we'll have to test a few before we find one...thank the good Lord for 30 day return policy :rotfl:

Get a travel size white noise machine. My DH bought me one when we were engaged and travelling to Europe with our college. There was no way for me to pack a fan! Mine runs either on batteries or a wall plug, has a clock with a button to backlight, alarm, radio, memo feature, and about 20 noise options including white noise and it's very compact. It was perfect for that trip and I still get plenty of use out of it while traveling now 10 years later! best and most thoughtful gift I've ever received because I was really stressing about how well I'd sleep on that trip as white noise or a fan are essential to me as well as a clock! I've also used it when the power went out at night!
