Fans FYI & Cool Wraps

If you're driving in/through Florida and you haven't found any portable fans yet, stop at any Walmart or Walgreen in Florida and they typically all sell portable fans. In Walmart, look in the seasonal section or in the housewares sections by the portable house fans and plungers and etc. In Walgreen, either seasonal or home. I have pictures but not linked to an url right now. Walgreens in Pensacola has some nice ones. Was told Tallahassee has same kind there. Walgreens also has cool gel wraps for your neck for $10. They're supposed to stay cool, but not sweat through.

In Florida, I restock on worn out items every year. As a warning: long hair + portable fan = pulled hair = broken fan

Thanks for the tip about the magellan fan. I am definitely going to purchase a couple.

We bought ours from Walmart last year and were so disappointed. The mini ones we bought barely circulated any air and the larger fans with the mister broke within ten minutes of using them!

Hopefully we will have better luck this year!

By the way, Frog Toggs are great at keeping cool in the parks. They are sports towels made out of special material. When placed in water and then wrung out, they will keep cool to the touch for many hours. Loved them. We got ours at Walmart. If the size is too big you can cut them to whatever size works best for you.

They have been in Walmart in the Pittsburgh area for a few weeks at least. They are in the large room fan/air conditioner area.

They have the chilly pads in the camping section at my walmart in las vegas for $12 each.
