Fanny Packs, for those who think they look goofy.

minnieears,
Don't know when you posted this, but sorry if I didn't see it for a while.

I have a water bottle "cover" that holds a water bottle and has velcro straps. I think the cover is meant to insulate the bottle. (I think I got it at Target.) ANyway, I was able to velcro the bottle to the bag and sometime I just threw the bottle right in the bag---on days when I wasn't carrying too much. We don't use a huge bottle.

Hope this helps and hope you have a great trip!

They are very dorky, but when I get home, I'm going to take a picture on mine. I think mine is cute, it doesn't hold much - money, tickets, memory card, and a few other things. I didn't get those bulky ones. Mine is kind of flat, and a really good leather - I got it at Wilson's a few years back! I ONLY wear it, when I'm going to be outside like at themeparks, picnics, etc. Its better than carrying a purse.

Thanks for the reply, Buckeye.

I know what you're talking about. My sister just gave me hers and I think I can hook it onto the messenger bag. Just a little over a week to go before I'm off to the World!

The messenger bag you all were talking about at Old Navy is on sale at their website for $7.99-thought I would share! I got the pretty yellow one.

Just posted on the other similar thread too.... Check it out... Just bought two GREAT fanny/lumbar packs at Totes outlet today!

I am just rolling here laughing at people going on and on about how 'dorky' a fanny-pack is, and how UNfashionable....

:rotfl2:

Don't you know how absolutely DORKY and unfashionable you look slinging around a big back-pack and hoofing it through the parks like a pack-mule?

Hey, I do think that previous poster looks WAY cool with her fannypack!!! And, I do mean 'cool' as in temperature-wise too!!! No hot, heavy, encumbering, backpack! :sunny:

I love Old Navy. I need to check it out. Although whenever I need something that I think they will have they don't have it anymore.

My heck I should read all the posts before I post the same thing someone else did. (sigh)

but this year in order to hold more @ the parks, I opted for a mesh backpack from Target--it's coral and has a flower on it (tropical) and it's kind of a smaller one. Not bulky, air will flow and will allow me to carry other things that my fanny pack did not...will try, hope not sorry. Prob. will take old fanny pack (from Disney) as a stand-by, but I think this is a rather hip one as my younger sis in her teens wanted one as well. This yr, I also may stick my little bitty snap-up swtr in the pack to keep warm indoors. Man the A/C gets to pumpin' in some of those shops and shows. :cold:

But, as I sd in the beginning, yes, I do think they do look dorky, but I was never one to not be prepared for discomfort (Aleve, chaps tick, lip gloss, mirror-to ck one's eye make-up, etc) of any type. ;)

Thx for letting me express my opinion, :flower:
