My husband and I are looking at dining somewhere just the two of us during our trip. My parents will watch the kiddos one evening and we'd like to go somewhere nice... I mean, get all dolled up (not necessarily a jacket required for DH because I don't think he'll be bringing a suite, but at least nice pressed kahkies and a polo, whatever).

Probably something on a resort so we don't have to re-enter one of the parks (we are staying off site in a rental house and it might end up being an evening that we don't actually go to the park so I don't want to pay a park admission for dinner, you know?) or even something in DTD?

So what are your suggestions? Actually is there anywhere in DTD that might work? It might be nice to do some shopping/browsing/strolling before/after dinner without the kiddos (we are doign DTD with the kiddos but I'm talking just the two of us).

Anyway do you have any suggestions? My price range would probably be $100-$150 total, and neither of us drink.

Thanks!

We like Fulton's at DTD...

But at resorts for a fancier dinner that is in your price range, I would say Citricos or Narcoosee's at Grand Floridian. You'll have a quieter more romantic setting at Citricos I am thinking but both are nice. Also, you could do California Grill at Contemporary...but I like Citricos better for food and service. Another option would be Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Check out menus and decide from there....

My first thought when I read the title of the thread was Victoria and Alberts, but that requires a jacket for your DH and is over your price limit.

But if you're not drinking, even a glass of wine with dinner, then any of the resort signatures would fit the bill. I think for a more romantic, quiet dinner that a LATER seating at Citricos or Jiko would be ideal. As a PP recommended-check out the menus under the Dining tab at the top of the page.

Hope you have a lovely evening.

For adults only we avoid the restaurants on the dining plan.

V&A is the best but if you don't want to dress, I recommend the 3 upscale restaurants at the Swan/Dolphin hotels. I think bluezoo is the most upscale of the 3 but all 3 have outstanding food and service in an adult environment.

If you are limited to the ones on the dining plan, Citricos is your best bet for a quiet adult experience. Others with potential are Jiko and Artist Point but I would not go for a romantic meal. The rest of WDW signatures are definitely more of a family dining atmosphere.

Bistro de Paris in Epcot used to be quite adult but it's on the dining plan for 2012 so I have no idea how it will be now.

I agree with using restaurants NOT on the dining plan. DH and I plan to go to Bluezoo and Shula's (Dolphin Resort)for our anniversary trip. The reviews are outstanding.

Another vote for the Swan/Dolphin restaurants. After dinner take a stroll over to the Boardwalk area. Have fun!!

We ate at most of the S/D restaurants last trip and were happy with all. Plus, many of them are on restaurant.com - with the promos you can buy a $50 GC for $4.

California Grill!!!:lovestruc ....and ask to be seated in the Wine Room.

We dined there on Christmas evening on our honeymoon a few weeks ago and it was the most wonderful, most romantic restaurant we have ever eaten at. We were seated in the Wine Room, which was more intimate than the main room. Food was amazing, service was wonderful, we watched Epcot fireworks from our seats & we went outside on a private viewing area to watch Wishes (and they piped in the music).

A late reservation at California Grill would be my recommendation- that was our dinner for our 2 year anniversary in December!

Citricos or bluezoo are probably your best bets for romance. They're also both VERY good!

1) I agree with not doing DDP eateries.
. . . too many kids
. . . too loud
. . . too many dumbed-down menus
. . . too many folk who don't know how to act at fine dining
. . . too many folks wanting just pig-out, instead of enjoying a meal
2) My recommendations - in order
. . . Shula's (great beef and great service)
. . . Il Mulino (fantastic Italian and excellent service)
. . . Blue Zoo (good food, but uneven service)
