Up bright and early once again, and have several cups of coffee, juice and a little bit of tv, I must ask have any of you discovered the channel that shows the Scratch and Dent Man, it is hysterical and you must look out for him when you go next. It is basically a fifteen minute advert which just repeats, the guy even gives his cell phone number in case you are tempted to go and work with him, he is advertising his scratch and dent electronics "in the box", the climax is him sitting on a freezer shouting "Chilly Willy", it caused us lots of amusement, but I guess you have to see it :happytv:
Anyway, off to The Animal Kingdom and must say their tree was really impressive, I am shocked that I don't have a piccie, I will have to wait for our photopass to come and then share with you, but it was beautiful. After getting lots of photopasses (we pre-paid for the CD before we left) and a little wander, we get our first look at the new Nemo show, we both really enjoyed this, its about twenty minutes long, Ian declares it better than The Lion King, but personally I wouldn't quite go that far.
Next stop is the Dawa Bar, we both like it here very much and I get, yes you guessed it a margarita whilst Ian goes for the mojito, he has never tried one of these before and decides never again, he declares it is like drinking minty water, I had a sip and it was a bit too minty!

Lunchtime, so we decide to try Yak and Yeti counter service, we get Crispy Honey Chicken, Beef King Pao and Spring Rolls, with a Kingfisher Beer and Chardonnay to wash it down, the young boy serving me was so young he had to show me the bottles of wine, so I could identify Chardonnay for him (bless). We are so glad that we decided on Yak and Yeti, the food was beautiful, we both agree it is probably the best counter service we have had at Disney, in fact it left us so full that we didn't eat anything else today.

I take a few piccies of the little trees at Camp Minnie Mickey, and we decide that as its getting a bit fresh we will head back for some warmer clothes as tonight we are off to Epcot.

We arrive at Epcot just in time for the tree lighting ceremony, this was a very good show, with the characters and cast members from around the world, the tree and the arch leading up to it are beautiful. We have a little wander around the World Showcase taking a glass of wine or two as we go, as you do. Neither of us can believe how empty it is, after only being for the food and wine the last few years, it seems deserted to us. We stop to watch the German story of Christmas and learn the story of the Nutcracker, a large wooden soldier who opens his mouth where said nut is put, pull his handle and bombs away his nut is cracked, this was rather amusing after several glasses of wine, but I guess you had to be there :goodvibes
We finish up at the Rose and Crown, where Tanya from Cardiff serves us, she comes over all homesick upon seeing Ians Cardiff City Santa hat and they have a good old chat, the hat later becomes legendary, everytime we go in the Rose and Crown we are asked if its Tanyas silly hat, even when Tanya is not there.. Here is a piccie of it, we decide to give her the hat for Christmas, but I'll go into details of that in a later post.

(the little boy in the piccie is Clare (Fizz13) son Dean.

At 9.28 we leave the Rose and Crown for Reflections of Earth expecting to get a not so good spot, we are shocked as we get probably the best view we have ever had, which shows how empty the park was. It was stunning as usual, for those that don't know this is my favourite, the additional bit at the end to Let There Be Peace On Earth was fantastic, and yet again I had a tear:sad: As it is now absolutely freezing we head back to Saratoga for a nightcap and a spot of Lifetime True Movies "Your Movies On" .....

Kev and Matt watch - shock, horror, they are gone, they are either cold, or in the true spirit of Kev and Matt are sick of my Welsh whittering ....

Another fab day, Jules! Tho' I remember how flippin' cold it was - I almost charged the SSR reception and demanded for my money back!!! I mean, WDW's just not meant to be that cold!!!

It's great reading about how you do things as a couple - makes me want to take a WDW holiday with just Richard...

Another great day Jules. The food at Yak & Yeti sounds and looks really good - I must try it out next time :thumbsup2

Lovely piccies too :)

Didn't know there was Counter service at Yak and Yeti, How exciting! Looks great.

Really enjoying your reports. x

Thanks, I am glad you are enjoying, the counter service is just to the side of the main restaurant, we found it to be very, very good, we ate there twice, it is a good addition to AK counter service, especially as Tuskers is now a buffet.

I will definately give Yak and Yeti a go next time I visit.

I thought they were changing Illumination RoE to a completely different show?

Another great day Jules - what a shame that Matt and Kev left you

Fantastic day Jules:thumbsup2

I'll have to have a look for that TV advert it sounds hilarious :rotfl2:

Yak and Yeti sounds yummy and how empty were the parks that must have been great :)

Sounds all very chilly - I look forward to the day when G and I can drink our way slowly round Epcot!

Scratch and Dent???? Have you never seen the "Appliance Direct" adverts? They should release them on DVD. I find them strangely addictive.

We are planning on spending Chrsitmas in WDW this year so we are reading your reports with especial interest.

Nice to have you two, strange, people back though!
:lmao:
