We woke up to frost, yes you read that right frost, it was absolutely freezing, but we decided to battle on and head to Epcot. We wrapped in our fleeces and put on longer trousers, I had no suitable shoes, for some reason I didnt take a pair of trainers with me, I just had crocs and a pair of boots I had travelled in, so I had to go in my crocs:scared1:

We arrived at Epcot and picked up some fastpasses for soarin, before stopping for a hot chocolate at Sunshine Season. We rode Living with the Land, when we got off the Dream people were there armed with a camcorder, they were saying one minute and thirty seconds till we go, third boat, third row, it looked like something exciting was about to happen, oh well so near yet so far !! Next stop was a visit with figment and then we played with a computer where we could make ourselves look like tigers and then e-mail the pictures home - little things and all that:rotfl2:

Next stop was Test Track before lunch at Sunshine Season, we both got the rottiserie chicken and strawberry shortcake, the food was very good, unfortuntely, the parks were still heaving, so by the time we found a table, our food was just warm.

SpaceShip Earth was open and we were both looking forward to seeing it, so we braved the cold and queued, by this point I was numb my feet were freezing, I even tried on some of the fluffy crocs, but couldnt bring myself to do it !! SpaceShip Earth was good, we both enjoyed the new cartoon bit at the end, I think there may have been further changes since we went, as they said that the refurbishment wasnt completely finished.

OK I will share with you, the new fashion statement hitting Epcot, my feet were so cold I had to buy some socks, so fashion concious people of the DIS, I give you socks with crocs, seriously part of me was mortified but I was so cold I didnt care, I also had to buy some Mickey gloves.

It was time for Soarin, I love Soarin, and it was as good as ever. We had a bit of a dilemma at this point, we had a ressie at The Rose and Crown, to be honest we only make a reservation here in the hope we will get a seat on the terrace for Illuminations, and it was really too cold to be sat outside eating, we talked it over and although we were both a bit gutted, we decided to cancel, and come back tomorrow to see Illuninations for the last time.

Cold got the better of us and we headed back to Saratoga and had a few drinks while debating what we do that evening, we ventured outside for a smoke and it was soo soo coooold, we decided to have an evening in, have a drink, watch a film, and phone for a pizza, so we settled in with a bottle of wine and watched Underdog which was so funny. I ordered our pizza from the Saratoga delivery service at 8.30, it arrived at 11.30, I seriously beleive the whole resort must have stayed in due to the weather and ordered pizza:lmao: The pizza was nice, but it wasnt my heaven in a box, and in future I will stick with Papa John.

It was a lovely night, it was nice to chill and take advantage of our lovely room, I enjoyed doing that so much on this trip.

Well look on the bright side Jules, if you got too embarrassed you could blend into the bushes and no-one would be able to see them :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Great day, lovely piccies, just a shame it was so cold :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: they came in a pack of two, it was either camouflage or shocking pink Tinkerbelle:rotfl2:

That is a seriously bad fashion statement Hun !!

I know Nat, its mortifying, but my feet were so cold, I couldn't stick it, I did try on fluffy crocs, I couldn't decide which was the lesser of the two evils !!

:lmao: I have just given away my only pair of crocs (to Sian) they are so not me !

Glad to see you guys finally in fleecy tops and crocs with socks!!! I was so flippin' cold when Samuel and I were there, that became my usual attire! Horrid pink Mickey crocs and stripy pink fluffy socks - the stuff of nightmares... :sad2:

Jules, I've been so pleased to read of someone else who's not afraid to stay in. We sometimes feel like just slobbing out and we figure we're on holiday so it's important to not feel that we always have to be doing something. What's the crack with Papa John's? Give me the skinny. :thumbsup2

Debbie, I'm sure Jules can elaborate on the goodness of Papa John's available in Orlando. As for the ones here in Tulsa, I can tell you that they're good, fast, relatively inexpensive, and have a garlic butter sauce that would make even the cardboard pizza box taste good if you dipped it in it.

Another great day even though it was cold. The crocs & socks combo so brits abroad;)

Now that's my sort of vacationing!!

I love the socks and crocs (that rhymes) combo, and have done it myself!

3 hours for pizza to arrive  i'd have gone out and got something after an hour.

I would have been starving by the time the pizza arrived!
