Famous People You have met While at WDW

I saw Steffi Graff (tennis player) in the bathroom at All Star Sports back in 1994. I didn't know who she was, but my DB pointed her out to me after leaving the restroom.

Later in the same trip, my brother spotted and talked to Don Mattingly (NY Yankees) while waiting for a parade at MK. He was very nice and talked baseball for a few minutes with my DB. He is a huge Yankees fan so he was psyched!

My friend told me that she rode in the rocket behind Lou Ferrigno at SM. I laughed to picture that big muscled guy zooming around in the rocket! :rotfl2:

We were on the Dream (so this may not count) just a few weeks ago and we met John Stamos. He was soooooo nice and he talked to us for about ten minutes and even offered to buy us drinks.

I really like reading the ones about the stars "being like us" and just walking around and people seeing/meeting them.:) I haven't been able to do that as far as I know;) Maybe next week:thumbsup2
Now some of these about meeting people outside Disney or seeing them in a parade or show shouldn't "count" for this thread IMO (at least the way I took the OP):rolleyes1

Kendra back in 2011 or 2010- this being the old playboy bunny Kendra..she was very rude!! We did not approach her (not a fan...) but my son ran in front of her to show me something in the store that we were in outside of Star Wars and she loudly and very rudely exclaimed "excuse me" to him in a nasty tone while the people walking with her jumped in front of her rather obnoxiously as if to block her from a 4 year old.... :confused3

Worked at Disney for quite some time, so I've met quite a few celebrities, but only a few while I was out of costume or not employed by the company.

I've met:
The Rock
Rakishi (Wrestler for the WWE, lives in kissimmee!)
Robin Williams
Johnny Knoxville
Michael Clarke Duncan

Interesting story about Michael Clarke Duncan, when I met him I called him by his entire name and had a small chat with him, afterwards he slipped me a 20 dollar bill for bothering to know his entire name, thanked me, and walked off to go about his business. A++ guy in my book.

We walked by Whoopi Goldberg in DTD during our '09 trip, she was only with two people. Then during a trip to Disneyland in '01 or '02, not long after California Adventure opened, Sara, Sandra Brown (think that is her name, can't remember) from the travel Channel (at the time) was there. She was getting off the large ferris wheel at CA where someone had just gotten sick.

I. Love. Him. :lovestruc
I would have passed out if I met him. :rolleyes1

We saw that Constantine guy from American Idol at HS in Jan 2011. He was tied up talking to what appeared to be his tour guide but this really pretty girl that was with him gave us a big friendly smile!

When I was in high school I saw Horace Grant in Tomorrowland the day he signed with the Magic. Ive also seen Kelly Ripa. I am positive I saw Neil Patrick Harris come out of the bathroom in Norway when I was waiting on my husband. My husband rode Everest with Scotty McCreery from AI last year and had no clue who he was. He wanted to know why all the girls were taking pics when he got off and the lady told him he had just rode right behind SM.

I saw Holly Madison from the E! Channel's Girls Next Door once at Epcot. We were shopping in the same shop together :) She was with a friend and a bodyguard.

I met Weird Al Yankovic at MK back in the late eighties. He was kind to sign an autograph for me on my guide map and take a photo with me but he seemed a little annoyed when I initially approached him. He rolled his eyes in the direction of his lady friend and I saw it lol.
Also, Vanna White was at MK yesterday filming for a Wheel of Fortune promotion. I didn't meet her personally but she waved to us :P

I'd be annoyed too!

I think it's fine to wave or say hello to a celebrity in Disney World.. perhaps chat them up a bit if you happen to be in the same area together (not that they wait in lines!) but asking for an autograph or a picture of someone while they are clearly on vacation with their families is a bit much...

I saw Vanna White filming at Epcot yesterday - of course haven't met her - had to ask who is was though and then I recognized her. LOL:)

Late 1970's in the MK.

Annette.

Got an autograph and a picture. She was there with her son.

I was tickled. :)

Saw Corbin Bernsen leaving the Candlelight Processional in 2010. He was walking with a castmemeber to the boat area in Epcot. We were walking right behind them and NOONE realized it was him but me.
As a fan of the Major League movie and sports flicks in general one of my biggest regrets is not getting a picture with Roger Dorn. I was having a conversation with my wife all the way going...Should I stop and ask? I really am a big fan but I didn't want to attract attention to him. Still kick myself for that one.:headache:
