Famous People You have met While at WDW

In the last two years, Joe jonas and Ashley Greene, and holly Madison. Years ago we saw robin Williams. I have to say I only ever noticed any of them because of what they were doing. Joe and Ashley (when they were dating) were doing a photo shoot in magic kingdom, down the path between space mtn and what was then toon town. Holly was standing outside the coral reef with a VIP guide and a few other people and they looked out of place as we walked by. We passed robin coming out of an elevator. I'm sure with the number of trips we've done I've missed other celebs because they aren't conspicuous.

The Jackson Five back in the 70's. They posed for pictures with us.

Deidre Hall in 1989

JC Chasez, Justin Timberlake, Keri Russell, Britney Spears, Christina Aquilera, Tony Lucca...yeah the Mickey Mouse Club bunch when I saw the show taped, concerts in Florida and also Ohio...I can't think of all the now famous people from there off the top of my head...those are just some. This was when they were on that show mind you.

I met Gordie Howe, Elvis Stojko and Wayne Brady at the Canadian pavilion in 1999

I have to say I did not really meet this person but last weekend at DHS they were filming something for wheel of fortune and vanna white was there. Right in from of the tower of terror. I did get pics though. The cms were trying to get everyone away to keep the flow of traffic going.

Rob Van Winkle aka Vanilla Ice at MVMCP in the Haunted Mansion stretching room and in Stitch, he gave me and my friend a look like we better not bother him when we noticed him :lmao:

Regis Philbin and Kelly Rippa filming the Christmas parade at MK

Lorie Metcalf turning on the Osborne lights at DHS

Rich Gannon a month after he lost the super bowl, he was getting on RnR at the exit with his family, my Bil noticed him before I did

Peter Gammons outside Beaches N Cream at the Beach club, he walked by talking on his cell during spring training while we were waiting to be seated

Met Robert Irvine last week!!! Wasn't at his seminar or book signing. He was checking out the wine store in the festival center with his wife. No one was around him & my mom kept saying he looked familiar. So she walked up to him & said hello. He was a nice man, love his accent. Wish I got a picture. He is my moms favorite chef.

Last march we ran into Steve Harvey in the gift shop at AKL he apparently wanted water in his room for him and his family when he arrived and it was not there so he went and got it...

We met Travis Taylor from the History Channel's Rocket City Redneck show. He was visiting with his family. Got on the monorail with us from Magic Kingdom to Epcot. We ran into them several times that week, and each time he waved or said hello. Very nice person.

We met him also! We were at MK for the Halloween party and he was standing near the Swiss Family Robinson area. My DH walked up to him and told him how much we love his show. They shook hands and he was very gracious. We then saw him again, along with his family, near the Haunted Mansion candy distribution area.

Aww these posts are so neat! So cool to have met so many different people at WDW! I've never met anyone famous there, but in October I saw Smash Mouth playing at Epcot (just walked by...watched for a minute)...does that count?! LOL

On Saturday we walked by Steve and Liv Tyler in Epcot. And our friend on that same trip met Ginnifer Goodwin because she was staying at the Yacht Club like they were. Jealous! Oh yes, and we saw Micky Dolenz outside Yacht Club and he waved.

Whatever! It's the choice they made when they became a celebrity.

I agree. If I see someone famous, I will most likely go ask for an autograph and a picture. If they decline, then fine... they have that right. I'm not going to make a big deal about it but it's still gotta be expected by going into the public like that. One reason I'm glad I'm not famous!

I love his show. That guy is scary smart (and cute!). Guess that's why he's a rocket scientist. ;)

In October we saw Andrew Zimmern and his son at Honey I Shrunk the Audience play area. He was there for the Food and Wine Festival, and giving a seminar later at Epcot.

If I were a celebrity (snort) I wouldn't "do" autographs. I'd be happy to take photos with people but no way would I just be throwing my signature around. That said, I've never asked a celeb for either but I've spoken to plenty. For the most part they're just normal people. I wouldn't walk up to a random stranger and strike up a conversation so I wouldn't do that to a celeb either...but if I ran into one waiting on line, or in an elevator etc, I would make small talk like I would with anyone else.

We've been fortunate to meet several famous people while visiting Disney When Epcot first opened we saw Michael Jackson. He was just standing by the Epcot fountain. There were several people who seemed to be "walking" with him, but he acted like he was alone.
We met Oprah one day when she was jogging on the walkway from BWV to HS. All alone, no make-up. We said "Hi" she said "Have a great day" and we kept going.
We also saw Katie Curic one morning on the boardwalk. She was very tiny.
Very pleasant.
We also saw Toby Keith and his family while dining at California Grill. He's a big Oklahoma fan. My DH walked in with an OU hat on and Toby said "Great hat" DH didn't know who he was at first. He had his back to the room and had on a baseball type cap.
