Famous People You have met While at WDW

Having worked in the movie business I've had the pleasure of knowing alot of celebrities. When I 1st moved here 3 yrs ago from NY and started riding EE I didnt really know the CM's or they me. Anyway one day I'm at AK and the buzz was that Harrison Ford was there. So I'm in line at EE and next thing you know the CM's are hustling him to the attraction. So I'm in line and as he walks past I yell out "HARRY!!!!!". He stops, see who it is,turns to the CM points, next thing you know the CM comes up to me and say "Mr Ford would like to see you". All the people around me are like,,,(stunned). Long story short,we ride (in the front row) caught up on whats been going on in our lives, shake hands and he went on his way.

luckyyyy

We havent met anyone in WDW (not that I can rememebr at least) but we have seen a few people at Disneyland.
At Disneyland we have seen:
George Lopez
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck
Teri Hatcher
Mary McCormack
we were also at DCA when WOC opened so we saw a bunch of celebrities there that trip but I dont remember exactly who. A lot of them were disney channel stars and I know very few of them.

Outside of Disney at Disney establishments we also met Kristin Chenoweth at El Capitan Theater in Hollywood before the premiere of one of the tinkerbell movies i think.

Living outside of LA though i've seen a lot of celebrities just day to day. Where I live in Santa Clarita they tape NCIS at my college campus so we enojyed watching them film a lot thorughout the year. And believe it or not, I have seen A LOT of famous people when I'm at Cedars-Sinai Hospital. I'm there every week and we always see someone famous...haha. Quite the place to see someone.

WE went to DW in April for Springbreak this past year...during that time we ran into Darius Rucker at MK ...he was their with his family checking out Tinker Bell in the tents...talked to him...we actually have a mutual friend from Columbia, SC...

Same trip we saw Dog the Bounty hunter and his Entourage in AK...not a big fan...he was a prick...no pictures...people going around putting hands in front of cameras...what elese did people have to do waiting on the parade?

Two totally different people...Darisu was signing autographs and tkaing time to talk to people...Dog...just arrogant...

To play devil's advocate... Darius needs to be there for his fans - they purchase his records. Dog, just a guy with a story on TV. His job will exist past his 15 minutes of fame.

That being said, I would be right there with you thinking that Dog was a turd. There's no reason to be that big of a jerk pushing past people and waiving off cameras. He is a guy on vacation with his family and has every right to want to be left alone, but he willingly put himself in the public eye, therefore is subjected to all the rituals of fame. :sad2:

that might have been extreme, but they are there on vacation, to get away, so if there all for taking pictures and signing stuff great! if not, let em be..
i know if i was there with my family and people came up and bothering me the whole time, id be a little ticked..
but i guess that comes with the fame.. :confused3

My DH and I were coming out of the Beauty and the Beast Show at MGM about 7 years ago and I saw Roy Disney!!!!(Walt's Nephew) He was with other park officials checking things out. I went up to him to shake his hand and got a great picture of the three of us!!!
Funny thing, he was smoking and when I went up to him he just flicked his cigarette in the bushes, not very Disney like :confused3
Nobody else seemed to know who he was, we were the only ones to approach him.

walt was a big smoker (as everyone was back then) smoking actually was what killed him.... i know i should stop, but its so enjoyable lol. iv never seen anyone famous at disney but thats also cause im always in such a hurry, if i did see someone it would probably be while i was at one of the smoking sections, thats about the only time i take time out to people watch...

We were at MK last March and got there at rope drop. We are passing by the garden by the castle and see all these cameras set up so we go to check it out. Can you believe it - Breakfast Television is on location there. We let them know we are from Barrie (where Kevin Frankish is from) and they let us in and we got to be on TV! It was too cool. Got to meet Dina, Kevin & Hugh. It was a lot of fun.

I swear Toby Keith walked right by me during dinner at Big River Grille last New Years Eve. I told Dsis and she could only see the back of his head and she decided maybe it was Toby. My DD and Dneice were out on the boardwalk when he left the resturant so they looked for him and did not see him so it was agreed upon by everyone but me:confused3 that I did not see Toby................ I am so hoping it was Toby because he looked right at me and smiled:love:. Susan

Back in about 1998 or so, my mom got on the Tower of Terror and sat next to a tall woman that she didn't recognize. Other people were asking for pictures with her and stuff, but it just didn't click with Mom. She had no idea that she rode the Tower of Terror with Tyra Banks!! And this was just after she was on the cover of the SI swimsuit issue, so you would think even Mom would have recognized her, but then again she was only looking at her face, I guess.;)

I've been away for a few years and so has this thread...let's see if we can bring it back from the dead!

BUMP! :littleangel:

Last summer we ran into Guy Fieri at the Studios and for about three summers in a row we always saw the Lopez twins (NBA players) at the Magic Kingdom.

We went to ESPN weekend at Hollywood Studios last year in 2011 (not this year since they stopped doing it), we met LaDainian Tomlinson who played for NY Jets at the time and SD Chargers before that. He was my favorite player. I was so lucky to get his autograph on my Chargers jersey and Jets jersey. I got pictures of me with him while he was signing my jerseys. It was an awesome day!!!!!

We also met Bart Scott and Darrelle Revis for the Jets that day.

Last July my wife and I spotted Emily Maynard (this summers Bachelorette). She was super personable and allowed us to get a picture with her outside of the teacup ride at MK

Didn't get to talk to him, but a few years back, I saw Chris Rock and his family while watching Wishes at the MK train station! Very cool moment!

I met all of the following working in Fantasyland in 2000.

Rob Lowe, Vanessa Williams,Evander Hollyfield, Ashley Judd,Dan Akroyd,Reba McIntyre,Destiny's Child, Jessica Simpson, Rosie O'Donnell.....

In August of 2010, we attended the Star Wars Celebration which had a party at MGM. We saw Jon Stewart with his daughter getting off a ride. Then at the Indiana Jones show which they switched up for the party, we saw seth green, george lucas, warwick davis.

On January 5, 2012, at chef mickey, we saw the bachelorette trista and ryan with their family. they were right behind us - trista was even wearing ears - I admit I took a picture.

My husband and I ate at a table next to Janet Jackson on our honeymoon in April, 2004. We were in Japan. They closed off the room, they sat us and then no one else. We were the only 2 tables! I guess we did not look threatening? :confused3 Ha!!

Last October I was visiting with my 5 year old son. We were lined up at rope drop for MK and one of the first people in the parks. We headed straight for Main Street and we were directed towards the sidewalks. There was a group of guys taking pictures with Goofy in the middle of Main Street. I was recording as walking and I shot the group but I had no clue who they were.

Later on in the day we noticed a band playing on the stage in front of the castle but still didn't take the time to walk over and see what they were doing.

When we got home I found out it was One Republic filming their music video for Good Life!!! So now everytime I see that video, I can say we were there on that day :)

I saw One Republic playing in front of the castle last October. does that count? lol
