Famous People You have met While at WDW

My sister and her family just returned from WDW and also saw Donny Osmond. They have pictures of him on the bus. Can you imagine he rides the bus? Cool.

Anyway, while working Main Street Ops in 1991, I worked security detail for Michael Jackson and McCulley Caukin (they were there together- kind of weird).

My friend and I hung out with the oldest son from HOME IMPROVEMENT and his family 10 years ago -- while the show was still on the air. It was really funny cause we were at the ESPN cafe (which opened that day) and it took -- no exagaration -- 3 1/2 hours to get our meal. They were at the table next to us and thought it was as hysterical as we did.

We also saw Corbin Bernson and the kids from BOY MEETS WORLD on the same trip (can you tell ABC was doing some sort of promo that week LOL)

Does anyone have any pix of Jon Bon Jovi from Disney? I read he was there last year and would LOVE to see those.

A lot of people refer to him as Silent Bob. His most famous movie is probably Chasing Amy which put Ben Affleck on the map. His last couple of films were flops with Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez - Gigli and Jersey Girl.

Wow. I'm jealous! I'm STILL a fan of Home Improvement and Boy Meets World! It's just hard to let some things go !

A year or two after MGM first opened Dick Clark walked right past us with a whole entourage of bodygaurds. I do have pictures of him but they are old and not digital (I don't know how to post them).

I do remember that my mother said "Hi Dick Clark" and he turned and waved with that huge smile of his. If I remember correctly he was there filming a TV special. It was a very cool moment!!!

I swear I saw Robert Beltran's double on Space Mountain last Saturday. I was at the part of the queue that is kinda near the loading area, and this one guy in a rocket looked very familiar. I kept staring, hoping that I would find something that would tell me that it wasn't really Robert Beltran, but the lighting was so dim it really looked like him! I don't know if it was, since I didn't get a great look at him, but it sure was a look-alike!

(Robert Beltran was Chakotay in the series Star Trek: Voyager.)

That is too funny! We were at WDW at the same time 10 years ago! Zachary Ty Bryan (the kid in your pic) was there and in the parade at MGM! I have the photos in my old WDW album. That's so great that you met him!

We saw James Brown and family there in I >think< 2001... he was decked in a purple outfit (lol) and it was the bench area right after the Tomorrowland spoke.

We just got back from vacation and I saw Vince D'Onofrio at EPCOT Worldshowcase. He was being escorted by one of the VIP CM's in plaid and was pushing a stroller. No one bothered him but he was looking at me like "Is she gonna? Is she gonna?" Needless to say I left him alone. I think we see someone famous each time we go to Disney.

Just saw Elizabeth Hasselbeck (The View, Survivor) at EPCOT on Friday. I guess she was filming a "how to do Disney cheap" segment or something. Didn't get to talk to her, but she's always seemed very sweet.

Back in December '06 we stood in line at Big Thunder Mountain right in front Rob Van Winkle aka Vanilla Ice. He was very nice and we later saw him pushing a stroller on Main Street after Wishes.

My DH and I were coming out of the Beauty and the Beast Show at MGM about 7 years ago and I saw Roy Disney!!!!(Walt's Nephew) He was with other park officials checking things out. I went up to him to shake his hand and got a great picture of the three of us!!!
Funny thing, he was smoking and when I went up to him he just flicked his cigarette in the bushes, not very Disney like
Nobody else seemed to know who he was, we were the only ones to approach him.

AHHHH!!! OMG! I would have died right there! If I saw Roy, I would be...well... I would probably look like a complete idiot as I started bowing down and praising him for saving Disney from EISNER!!! I ROY!!

OK ... I have a few ...
My DW and I were there years ago at MGM for the announcement of the partnership with Jim Henson and the muppets. We saw Michael Eisner and Jim Henson make the announcement and later Jim Henson walked right passed us.
Two more ... we saw David Ogen Steirs at Liberty Tree Tavern around 1990 and Little Richard arriving at Pleasure Island for a New Years Eve performance around 1995.

(Of course that's not counting the old parade at MGM where a star would be featured, interviewed and place their hands in cement. We saw June Alyson and John Astin. Those were cool events!)

Britney Spears and Joey McIntyre were waiting to ride Space Mountain back before she was as famous as she is today. They were in the car in front of ours. It would have been the same car but they sent them off by themselves. They had security people and people with large cameras with them. I think they were doing some candid shots for a special she was doing from WDW later that month. We also saw Hulk Hogan at one of the water parks walking around with his people.

When we were on our trip 2 weeks ago, we were on the bus from OKW to MK and my brother in law nudges me and points to the back of the bus.

There just in front of the back row was Greg "Fossilman" Raymer (2004 World Series of Poker main event champion).

We weren't sure at first if it was him so we were trying to be discreet. The lady next to me noticed and said "yes, that's him. I'm his mother."

We asked her if he would mind if we said hello, and she said he didn't mind being recognized as long as people were polite and respectful.

When we got off the bus at MK, he was very gracious and posed for pictures with my BIL and SIL... BIL is a HUGE Texas Hold'em fan, even to the point of starting to enter into some local tournaments, so he was very happy.

i LOVE your account about what happened, so cool! I always say its like hitting the lottery or being in the right place at the right time when you see someone famous at WDW. I saw Corey Feldman a few years back.(not really a big celeb but hes famous)

I met Raven Scimone waiting in line for The Voyage of the Little Mermaid. She was still all the Cosby show so she was still a little girl...but I had her sign in my autograph book. How ironic that years later she became a Disney girlie

OHMYGOSH!!!! i would have DIED! they were shooting for the Britney Spears & Joey McIntyre Disney In Concert Special... back when Disney used to do those awesome concerts... I wish they still did. Anyway, that's awesome!
