Famous People You have met While at WDW

I saw Mandy Moore (before I knew who she was) during a Christmas trip @WDW. She came running by me out of City Hall with her high heels in-hand and a couple of CMs running with her. They escorted her to Main St. where it looked like they were filming something. I had to ask who she was.

My mom swears she saw Jonathan Frakes (most famous as Commander Riker from Star Trek:TNG) in EPCOT. She said that he seemed grumpy so she didn't want to ask if it was really him. :rotfl:

And I've been to all but 2 years of the Star Wars Weekends to date, so... yeah, I've met some celebrities, lol.

We were at MGM yesterday (10/18/06) watching the Streetmosphere Public Works guys and Frankie (one of the actors) made reference to "Deal or No Deal". I really wasn't paying that close attention to everyone around me, but, it seemed one woman kept looking at this bald guy sitting on the curb right next to us. Later on, I mentioned to my friend (who wasn't sitting with me) that it seemed Frankie was focused on this guy. DA.........how stupid of me .....since I don't watch "Deal or No Deal" I completely forgot Howie Mandel is completely bald!!!!! What makes this really funny .....I said to my friend on the way into MGM earlier how unobserving I am and if a celebrity were right in front of me I probably wouldn't realize it!!!

While I have never met someone famous at WDW, I have interviewed several neat-o type people on my radio show...

Mikey from OCC - One of the worst interviews.....EVER!!

Comedian China Doll - Very funny, sweet woman

John Amos from West Wing and Men in Trees - SUPER NICE guy

Donna Lisa Wray - Producer and host of a new reality TV show set to air in January

Brad and Skip from the TV show Junk'd - These guys RULED!!

Hillari and Jen - Cheerleaders for the Indianapolis Colts - Very sweet girls, actually held my baby daughter!

A couple of the Indiana Pacers Pacemates - Kinda diva-esque - Did not hold the baby daughter...

Devon McDonald - Linebacker for the Colts and Notre Dame National Championship team from 1988 - Awesome guy! and still looks like he could step on the field and bust some heads!! He's now a motivational speaker and is AWESOME! He actually put his Colts issued jersey in the stroller with my daughter as he gave his speech. She kept trying to put it in her mouth while DW and I struggled to keep out of her mouth...

From the Indianapolis Colts - All current players:
Raheem Brock
Robert Mathis
Dylan Gandy
Ryan Lilja

I'm also scheduled to interview Stephen King in November!! I'm SUPER psyched about that one!!

If anyone knows how I could get in contact with Kevin James, I'm pretty sure my life would be complete! He's one of my favorite actors! I'd love to have the chance to interview him. As well as Emeril, Alton Brown and host of others...

A few years ago, we shared an elevator at the Contemporary with Mimi from the Drew Carey show! She looked ALOT different than the character she played. She was really nice, commented on how cute our sleeping kids were. She was with this GORGEOUS guy!

On another trip, we saw one of the guys from a Law and Order show (I can never remember his name). He was at the Beach Club enjoying Stormalong Bay with his family.

I would definitely have recognized one of the Lawrence brothers...Whooa!
They are comedians, a little bit older and they were of African decent (trying to be PC)

Wrong Lawrece brothers, perhaps...Woa --- Joey Lawrence was on Blossom.

, I've never met anyone at Disney World that's famous yet.. That guy from Lost, Josh Holloway or something is like a 6th cousin. I met him once before he was famous, if that counts. I don't remember meeting him, but my cousin Whitney and her mom insists I did. :rolleyes2

Ok, I am terrible about names of famous people, but I am pretty good with faces. On the night of 12/22, my oldest daughter and I were on the monorail back from Epcot after the Extra Magic Hours. We had just stopped at the TTC ( we were the only ones in our car) when two people got in. We were really tired and stretched out on one side of the car, and I just sort of looked over at who was in with us. It was a man and his girlfriend/wife. I looked away and then it hit me that I knew the guy's face from somewhere. He was wearing a baseball hat and kept looking down a lot. I looked back over and I realized it was the guy who plays the math whiz in the show Numbers. He gave me the "O no she knows who I am look" and looked down.

Now, I was really tired, and I knew by the look on his face and the way he kept his head turned he really didn't want to deal with anyone, so I just sort of smiled and looked away. He looked over at me like he was just waiting for me to turn into some sort of crazed fan. The monorail stopped at the GF and they got up to get off. Just as he was at the door of the monorail he turned back and tipped his baseball hat to me. Now, I can't say 100% that this guy was David Krumholtz, but if it wasn't it was a twin. Also, it wouldn't make sense for the look of Oh sh... on his face when I did a double take. I figured it was Christmas time, it was around 1 am, and why bother the guy. He was there to enjoy himself just like we were.

We were standing in the Narnia line in August and I could have sworn I saw Joey Fatone (from NSync) There was a guy in a suit with him..not a bodyguard but maybe a higher up from Disney?? Also a little girl. I didn't want to keep doing double takes but I swear it was him. I know I would hate to be bothered if I were them so I gave up trying to confirm it. My DF agreed with me though. :confused3

Ok, so this isn't at Disney, but it's about my only famous run-in. Of course, this will only matter to hockey fans. Especially Carolina Hurricanes fans. Brett Heddickamp (sp? I'm sure I butchered it) walked in on Christmas Eve to the Dunkin' Donuts where I work. He was so nice, he passed a kid in a Canes jersey and talked to him....you could tell the kid's Christmas Eve was made by the look in his eyes. I didn't say anything to him, I was working the drive-thru and sure enough a car pulled up at that exact moment.

I personally could care less, I would love to meet Marco Andretti. Almost went on the Indy Celebration Cruise (on the Wonder, no less), but my parents vetoed it. Turns out he was there too. Of course, I'd probably just stare and be like "You're....you're.....you're............OHMIGOSHILOVEYOU!!!". Heh.

When we were at MK during Thanksgiving week my kids saw Steve Tyler. We were in line for It's a Small World and my 2 DS's saw him get in to a boat several boats ahead of ours. My son said that he didn't want to say anything because he wasn't sure but then someone yelled Steve Tyler and he looked up and waved. My DH and I were kind of annoyed that our kids didn't tell us until his boat was out of site!

I met of all people Michael Jackson in Disneyland in 1985 and MC Hammer in Disneyworld (can't remember what year it was though).

I met Kelly Ripa outside Soarin' on December 3, the day after they finished filming the Christmas parade. I've always wanted to see/meet a celebrity at Disney World and I can finally say I did.

We saw Neil Patrick Harris (at AK near the bridge over Kali River Rapids) and Kevin Green (at MK near the carousel) last month - week of 12/16 to 12/22.

i LOVE your account about what happened, so cool! I always say its like hitting the lottery or being in the right place at the right time when you see someone famous at WDW. I saw Corey Feldman a few years back.(not really a big celeb but hes famous)
Thanks so much for sharing!
:goodvibes

A decade or so later, my brother and I were exiting Splash Mountain when we saw adult film legend Ron Jeremy. We recognized him but Ron probably wouldn't want to be seen talking to minors. So, we looked over our shoulders and he acknowledged us, gesturing to the babe next to him.

"anotherboardnposter" Kilduff

Quite possibly the coolest siting of them all!

AHA!! It was him!! We were there on the 23rd for CP at Epcot and we passed a guy with a woman being escorted by a CM. Well I turned thinking that maybe it was somebody famous and I guess it was. I wasn't sure at the time as I don't watch Numbers but I guess this backs up the fact that it was indeed him.

I just read your post about Ron Jeremy! :rotfl2: I've also met Ron, but not at WDW. I find it funny that Ron is hanging out at WDW. I had an interesting encounter with him. Here we are!

When I was a teenager, after Cocktail came out. My friends took me to a secluded private beach club in Myrtle Beach, SC I swam in the pool with Tom Cruise  and Nicole Kidman. TOTALLY COOL. Shocked me to no end. We played pool volleyball with a beach ball. Totally something you will ever forget.

Later when I was working at the mall toy store. The PRESIDENT of ZIMBABWA came in with a full entourage of people and wanted to buy presents for his children at home. Way strange. It was weird and cool and out there.

Maybe we can meet someone famous on our next trip to the world.
