Famous People You have met While at WDW

I recently met Kelly Ripa. She was kinda annoying.

Really? I met her at WDW last month when they were taping there are she was such a sweetheart. I ran into her about 10 times (totally by coincidence on the last 8 times) and she remembered me everytime.... maybe because she was about to call security!

I live in Sarasota, FL, there are TONS of celebrities that live around here, ive met Steven King, Jerry Springer and Paul Ruebens, around town. They were all very nice.

Oh my gosh, you met Pee-Wee Herman???? About 19 years ago I would have been so jealous... since he turned freaky, I might have been a little scared . Does he wear regular clothes? That sounds dumb, but I can't picture him without his signature grey suit and red bow-tie I know you are but what am I?

This thread is so cool! I'm loving see who everyone has seen while at WDW. I've been there twice so far as an adult and have not seen anyone famous. But then, I'm so wrapped up in what I'm doing that I'm not paying attention. Maybe I'll see someone when we go in October.

Oh, and the person that saw Dominic and Evangeline from "Lost", I've heard they are dating in real life, so I guess that gives some sort of credit to those rumors!

We were eating at Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom and Mohamad Ali sat down at the table next to us.

On another occaision we saw Ricky Lake pushing her baby around the Grand Floridian.

About 5 years ago my DH and I were at the movies in DD. We valet parked our car because it was a Friday night and raining. While waiting for them to bring our car up, this guy with bright red hair came around the corner. My DH, not being teen suave, said look at that guy’s hair and laughed. As I turned around in shock, I said that is Joey Fatone from N-SYNC. Having a 14yo DD whom loved N-SYNC and I took her to may concerts, I knew who he was!! I went up to him and asked if I could get a picture for DD. He took our camera and gave it a friend in his party and said we could get a group picture with my DH & me. I told him DD would not like us in her picture. He said come on we can make her jealous and he puts his arm around me. My arm did not hesitate!!! It was around him in a second. We pretty much wasted the rest of the film; so, we could get it developed immediately. We bought a real nice Disney frame and put the picture and Joey's autograph in the frame. Wrapped it up and gave it to our DD for her souvenir. She was soooooooooooo upset she started crying; I knew I should have gone with you guys. For the next few times we went down from that day she would go to the spot in DD where we met him and wait and see if any celebrities come by!!

I don't know if anyone remembers the comedian Sinbad . . .

Well last August, my husband and I were doing E-nights and everyone was waiting for Spectro Magic to get to the hub (the lights were low) and we were heading to Splash MT. when I LITERALLY ran into Sinbads chest/stomach area.

He was there with his family and was worried that he hurt me. He stopped heading to Space Mt. to make sure I was ok. That is when my husband piped up and said "She's ok, she's just a klutz, and does this all of the time". Well, of course, Sinbad got a good laugh out of that!

Fun thread!

A few years ago, we bumped into Gloria Estefan and her family at the NYC streets at MGM. I said hello and we chatted for ten minutes. She introduced us to her whole family. Although she was with a guide, she asked us for some park tips. Bumped into them later in the evening at Osborne Lights and her young daughter was waving hello to me!

Last summer we were on the bus from AKL going to MK and the women sitting across looked so familiar - turned out it was Carolyn from "The Apprentice". Two cute kids and husband too! It was their last night and they were rushing to see the fireworks one last time.

At MGM, we ran into NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon. It was the coolest!

He waved hello as we passed each other, the wave that says "yes, I am who you think I am". It took me a little longer but I finally realized it was Gary Sinise (sp?). Very cool.

On another trip - I met Steve Garson and his wife Tammie Newton.

I was sooo excited when I saw Steve and Tammie.

I know this is about famous people which you guys has seen in WDW, but anyway...

I used to be in the danish navy (left the navy 31st of januay 2005). I was part of the crew onboard the danish minelayer HDMS MOOEN N82.

It was on may 5th 2004, just before the royal wedding between crownprice Frederik and princess Mary.

I met the following at the reception later that day:

Queen Margrethe of Denmark
Prince Henrik (married to Queen Magrethe)
Crownprince Frederik (eldest son of Queen Margrethe)
Princess Mary (at may 5th 2004 she was not married to Crownprince Frederik, yet)
Prince Joachim (youngest son of Queen Magrethe)
Princess Alexandra (wife to Prince Joachim, they got divorced recently)

I was working below at the reception deck, i had a desk where i kept the royal familys and other guests sables, hats and jackets.

When the royal family left the reception (as the first ones to leave) i handed Prince Henrik his hat. And inside the hat i put his wifes (Queen Margrethe) gloves. I then gave Crownprince Frederik his sable. I then gave Prince Joachim his hat.

I think ill never forget that day, by far the most magical day (atleast when it comes to famous people) i have ever had.

I saw Drew Carrey and his girlfriend years ago at MK. We had disney people around him. Got to personally hang out and talk to Christy Carlson Romano and her family on our cruise in December. She was a very friendly girl and her sister I thought was extremely nice.

I would LOVE to meet Tom Hanks! He genuinely looks and sounds JUST LIKE my uncle Paul. As one has gained weight, the other has too (course TH loses it after some movies, unlike Uncle Paul who just keeps gaining). However, the whole experience would be ruined if someone came up to me afterwards and said, "Jen-nayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy". Grrr.

Anyways, how fun to have met him! That one definitely wins my vote on the thread.
