Okay. I have some free time this afternoon so I've been on the DIS listening to U2 and I got to thinking. Is there anybody famous you would like to meet? I want meet and have drinks with U2. They seem fun and down to earth. What about you?
George Clooney (for reasons mentioned before, and others too numerous to mention here) (well, maybe not too numerous, but this is a family board) and Elton John.
Believe it or not, George and/or Laura Bush. Not for political reasons. It is just that they both seem the type of people, that you could be comfortable around. Sit down eat some BBQ and chew the fat so to speak.
I already have. I met Stevie Nicks in 1978. She's my very favorite singer ever. I also met other Fleetwood Mac members, Foreigner, Pablo Cruise and Bob Welch (an ex Fleetwood Mac guy). I was a starstruck 13 year old and it was seriously cool.
My friend did have drinks with the "Edge" (is that his name -- sorry I'm not a U2 fan!) She is a HUGE fan and after one of their Philly concerts her and a friend went to a very upscale hotel for drinks. He was there talking to someone at a small table. They sent drinks over and when he left he stopped at their table and sat down for a drink with them also. He thanked them for not disturbing his private conversation and respecting his privacy and chatted for a good while with them.
I d love DD to meet Billy Bob Thorton. I think it would be good for her to meet someone with the same learning disablities that she has, who is as successfull as he is.
Back to me... I will keep my initial list down to 10 (I'll try anyway)
Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke

Eddie Vedder
