Famous people at WDW

This past March Dh and I stood in line right behind Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine). She was with her mom and brother (Spencer). We ended up riding on Snow White's Scary Adventures with them.

No pictures because I didn't want to bother them, they were just walking around as a family and looked like they just wanted to blend in.

A few years ago in EPCOT, I saw Merv Griffin.

Then a few years later, I saw Laurie Metcalf from "Roseanne". She was waiting in the stands of the Tommorrowland Indy Speedway for the rest of her party.

I met Joe Rohde (hence the avitar) last year at the Rose and Crown.

And I better not get a "Who's Joe Rohde?":rolleyes1

I am soooooo jealous!!!! I would absolutely LOVE to meet Joe Rohde!!!!

We saw Brett Favre walking around the MK, with a few VIP escorts, one day last October. Always thought he'd be taller. :)

Another time, we saw Evander Hollyfield and his family coming out of The Living Seas. This was right after the Mike Tyson incident and I sooo wanted to make a joke but I was a good girl.

You mean like calling him Evander "Real Meal" Holyfield? :)

I would not go up to a celeb at Disney as much as I wuold probably want to. It's their off time and one little picture could lead to them being SWARMED.

That said, I had lunch with the oldest son from Home Improvement and his family and we did take a picture with him. What happened was, we were at ESPN cafe in boardwalk the day it opened and it was just a clusterXXXX all around. We waited over 2 hours to get our lunch. They were at the table next to us and we just bonded. We didn't even realize it was him until he said he was there for a disney promotion (all the ABC stars of the Friday night line up were there at the time). When we finally got our food and ate, we asked if we could take a picture.

That same week we saw Corbin Bernson on Tower of Terror and all the kids from Boy Meets World.

I feel the same way. I would feel like I'm evading their privacy. It would be a different story if they were there for some publicity event. But if they are with their families, I think they are off limits.

In December 2004,I saw Jim Caviezel and his family in Epcot, Mark Consuellos and his son in Magic Kingdom, and Marlee Matlin in Spoodles. I didn't say anything to any of them because they were all with groups of people and Disney Guides.

Back in the mid-80's we were staying at the Disney Villas (miss them!). You could rent a golf cart to drive back and forth to DTD - well one afternoon we were on our patio and saw a golf cart coming towards our villa with a long haired guy driving, as he got closer I could tell it was ALICE COOPER and his family. ex-DH wouldn't let me say anything so I just waved and he waved back. I did watch to see where they went - they had a villa in the building next to ours. We saw them a couple more times that week and each time just smiled and waved.

Also during the 80's at MGM we saw the Mickey Mouse Club while they were taping - the one with Britney, Christina and Justin, et al. - back then they were just a bunch of kids on the stage singing and dancing.

I saw Dan Marino going into the Tent in Toontown. We happened to be going in and I approached him. His wife and kids had just been escorted through a VIP entrance to see the characters and he was waiting for them. I said " Mr. Marino, I am a big fan and was wondering if it wasn't a bother, could I please have an autograph?" He said "Sure, no problem." Of course, the only paper I had was my DS Disney autograph book. I used it. Then I left him alone. He went out and sat on the curb out front to wait and when we came out, he was still there so I took a picture (on the sly) and so as not to bother him again. I still have both of those items. I love Dan Marino, the best quarterback ever.(not up for debate):thumbsup2

That's priceless! :thumbsup2

My mom got a picture with Wayne Newton a couple of years ago at Pleasure Island. We also saw Carl Winslow from Family Matters (cant remember his real name) at MGM a while back.

I rode on the Monorail with Kelly Rippa, her husband Mark & their kids and her parents. They got on at GF & looked a little hesitant but got on since I was in the car alone. I didn't say anything, they were having a family vacation. They have a beautiful family.

Donny Osmond is a very down to earth guy. I met him about 2 years ago in Vegas and he was exactly as I had imagined. He was very polite and seemed to be interested in what I was saying. I actually don't remember what I said to him as I was so nervous.

I was almost run over by his limo when I was 14...

Okay, at Disney, I've seen Michael Jackson (who had brought a group of 25 kids with him and had taken over 2 floors at either the Swan or Dolphin, I forget which. It was a HUGE pack of people moving together everywhere!)

I try hard not to bother celebs if I see them because they deserve a vacation too!

His name is Reginald Vel Johnson. I thought he was very funny on Family Matters.

We saw Tommy Lasorda at 1900 Park Fare. We saw Michael Strahan from the Giants. Chris Carter, Eric Dickerson were seen at various times during one of our trips.
In 1997 We were there when they were filming Rosanne. That was neat.

Back quite a few years ago, I started to enter an elevator at the Comtempory and there was Sherry Lewis and her manager. She was to do a show.
