Family with different dining times

UPDATE: my DU TA just messaged me that my family is confirmed on main dining with us now. Wow, that was fast—just 24 hours after booking

My daughter, son-in-law, and 2 granddaughters decided to join us on our September cruise, but they were assigned second seating and we are main seating. They are waitlisted for main. Has anyone been In this situation. We do plan to inquire once onboard if the waitlist doesn’t get approved. Our reservations are linked. I can’t do second seating due to a medical issue.

Do not expect a change before you get close to your cruise - maybe 3 weeks before. That’s when they finalize seating arrangements and go through the waitlist. Considering the reservations are linked and your request to be on the waitlist for main, you are pretty much guaranteed to be moved before the cruise.

guess I shouldve Waited to post. My TA said my waitlist was approved. that was fast. barely 24 hours after booking.

thanks for the info! I’m waitlisted for the October cruise. We have a medical need on our waitlist.
