We have a family trip planned this summer for 15 people and I have 2 two-bedroom villas reserved at AKL. I will be paying for the dining plan and I will be responsible for any room charges for both rooms. Is is possible to combine reservations so I can check in once and keep track of the dining plan and charges? My first call to MS was no help.

The only way you can check in for both rooms is if you are listed on both reservations. Would you have enough space to do that?

No. The only thing you can do is have a "Travel With" added to both reservations to try and have them assigned as close together as possible.

Each is a separate reservation and requires a separate check-in. The dining plan credits are pooled by room. All KTTW cards for a room will have access to all of the credits for that particular room. To check the balances, you will need to check each room separately. To check the spending on the KTTW cards, you would also need to check each room separately.

Since they are doing a dining plan, it would require payment of the dining plan for the OP twice since they would be listed on two room reservations.

Thanks for your replies. Maybe for the second room I will not leave a card on file for charging.

I had 3 studios at SSR last year. Placed "Travel With" notations on all the rooms of the other two rooms. DW and I arrived at the SSR before anyone else, I was able to check-in all three rooms, even though my name was not on the other two rooms. I was able to get all the rooms keys, parking passes, documents, etc. and met the other families without their having to go through check-in. Two of the rooms were done with online check-in and one was not.
The room assigner CM did a great job of getting us all in the same building and on the same floor.

You can definitely PAY for both rooms. ( We always travel in a huge group. 1 2-bedroom and 2 to 3 studios depending on the trip ) and this is what we do. Dining plan is all paid on one card for all rooms. But then keeping track is not super clear.

It is possible for the responsible party to arrange for check in without being formally listed in the room. A couple of years ago we had 9 units between BWV & BCV for a week each with start days anywhere from Fri to Sunday. I was able to arrange and check in for all units without being listed in those other units. It wasn't difficult to arrange though I did have to insist to MS that I needed to be able to check in myself even if not listed in all the units. These were exchanges, I'd think it'd be even easier for the owner for direct points reservations.
