As we hadn't made it to MK last night we decided we would go over there today. The weather was still holding out though the weatherman on tv was expecting a cold front to come over tonight and last for 2 days.
After the bag search we dropped by the town square before going up Main Street and passing in front of the Noodle Station (went in here once and it was quite nice)on the way to Monsters inc. Amusing show,Buzz Lightyear then SM before going to the Teacups, where 4 of us squeezed into 1 teacup, we really got it spinning
We staggered off and went through Mickeys Toontown as DDIL wanted to get some presents for our granddaughters but,she couldn't see what she wanted so we thought we would go over to DTD later. DS and I decided against the Barnstormer as there was a big queue. All the attractions in fantasyland were showing wait times of 40 to 80 minutes, it was very busy today. We went through to Liberty Square and joined the queue for the Haunted Mansion. Although it said 40 minutes it was only 20 by the time we were sitting in the Doom Buggy. We found the same at TMRR, wait time was a lot less than displayed, POTC was busy but we still rode.
Went over to the Jungle Cruise before heading back to main street, stoppig at the Plaza ice cream parlour. We decided to go to DTD and then drop the bags off and go to MGM for EMHrs. We thought we would get the monorail to the CR and get the bus to DTD from there. DDIL found what she was looking for in the toy shop and then we droppped our bags off and went to MGM.
On entering MGM we get our wristbands, it was almost dark so we took our time and went over to the Osbourne Lights.
A really fantastic display of lights. We still have the glasses that make the lights look like snowflakes and angels. DS and DDIL go on Star Tours again
before we go to have a look at Journey into Narnia, and then One Mans Dream. We have a dish that is the same as one from opening day which is on display here, although we don't think it is worth much it is nice to know what it is.
We go to the Voyage of the Little Mermaid show and have to wait 30 minutes to get in, DDIL was keen to see this and she wasn't dissapointed with it. The Magic of Disney Animation is next. This is a very good and informative tour, lots to look at and though there are few animators left still worth doing. We went to do the drawing class, we were shown how to draw Pluto, DS is a good artist,DDIL and DW are fair and I can't draw a bath, but they run it through stage by stage and even mine resembled Pluto at the end.
A bit of retail therapy on the way out and we make our way to the bus stop. I manage to catch the second half of the Sunday night football game and a couple of Bud's round off another good day and evening.
