Family T-shirts... Is this corny...?

My DH seems to think so. Last year I matched us all in orange shirts, he did not notice till we all got out the door, even though i told him:rolleyes: well, to make a long story short we did not all end up matching that day

I agree that it would be corny if my family wore matching shirts to go out to eat or to the mall while we are at home (and we would never do that!!!). But it really adds to the fun while you are at Disney. On our last trip there were 6of us. I had ordered Orange Disney shirts online (clearance). Not only did it help us keep track of each other, but it made others realize that we were together....people would step aside & let us stay together to get in line for rides, shows, the bus, etc. And while we were at the MGM parade, Cruella noticed our shirts and walked right up to DD (then 8) and called her a silly puppy. I say go for it.........who cares how goofy you are while you are at WDW?!

We just got back from WDW and every day we had 2 sets of matching tshirts one for the morning and one for the evening. It was corny I know and no not everyone is doing it. I will say it was VERY easy to find everyone in the crowds when we got seperated. I saw a few other groups wearing matching but not a ton. Another plus of doing it is it looks nice in pictures. We had a lot of CM's comment about it and a few days everyone had thier name on thier shirt and the characters would call the kids by name which was cool. We had some shirts I made myself and then I also got polos from disneyshopping and 2 sets of the matching mickey head shirts from them as well. If your family will do it I say go for it. Mine thought it was corny but by the end my 14 year old was wanting to pick our shirts out to wear. :)

Wish my DH would go along with matching Disney shirts.
If it deals with sports he's in. I can get him to wear a University of Texas shirt along with the rest of the crew, but nothing else. At least I can have one day that we all match.

Just get your family of your DH's favorite sports team's colors. I'm gonna get Blue and Red tie die shirts since my DH loves the Cubs. Go Cubbies!:cheer2:

Yes, it's corny, but it was a lot of fun. My DD7 can pull an amazing vanishing act, and having those matching shirts made it a LOT easier to keep track of her. Something else I didn't realize until my son mentioned it -- not only do matching shirts make it easier for the adults to keep track of the kids, the kids have an easier time finding the adults. That was truly invaluable with the crowds in June.

FWIW, we did matching tiedye shirts, then personalized them with Disney iron-ons. I highly recommend www.tiedyeusa.com for the shirts. You have to order 24 shirts to get the wholesale prices, but that wasn't as hard as it sounds. There were 5 people in my group for 4 days (20 shirts), and then we wanted an extra day of shirts for just immediate family (4 shirts), and then a friend ordered some for her family as well. The price averaged out to $5.25/shirt even with shipping costs. I'm not a huge fan of tiedye, but it was highly visible in the parks.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

I've already decided that all members of our family trip our going to get at least 3 sets of matching shirts for Xmas. I love that they have sizes from 2T to 3X that all match. Now I just have to decide if I'm gonna add other stuff to the shirts. May have to put at least names on em'. I like how one person said that with the kids names on the shirts that the Characters were able to talk to the kids using their names. DD and DS would love that!

We're doing it this time. I so wished that I had done this last trip! It just makes it easier finding other family members in a large crowd, especially the kids.

I'm doing Mickey head tye dye shirts, as well as with some designs made by the creative designers on the design boards.

Gotta get hopping on those shirts! October will be here before we know it.

I was thinking about have some t-shirts made for the 4 of us, so maybe we could easily keep track of each other (HA!)... is this really silly or something everyone is doing (and then defeating the purpose).

Looking for input and possibly some suggestions on where to have this done, any opnline links would be great. (also we would need one in a very very large size too).

Thanks!

We are doing it for the first time in October. I have 3 sets ready to go!!! We will have 7 people altogether DH :mickeyjum , Me :earsgirl: , DD8 :cheer2: , DD6 :bride: , DD3 princess: ,( and my DS31 pirate: and new DDIL29 ::MinnieMo ) , will be with us. I expect it will be so much fun!!! Even DH will wear them, and he would never do that at home. :yay: He is such a kid when we go to Disney - he even orders his own Mickey shirts now. We are all such Disney nuts, and proud of it. :smickey:
