I was thinking about have some t-shirts made for the 4 of us, so maybe we could easily keep track of each other (HA!)... is this really silly or something everyone is doing (and then defeating the purpose).

Looking for input and possibly some suggestions on where to have this done, any opnline links would be great. (also we would need one in a very very large size too).

Thanks!

Personally... I think it is a little corny. But... there were quite a few who did it. My DH won't wear matching shirts, so I didn't try to match everyone. I matched my kids a couple of times, and DD and I had a matching shirt as well. If your family will do it... go for it!

A lot of people do it... If you think your family will like that, do it. It may bring you some special attention from CM, characters at parades etc... Have fun and be creative...

We did Incredibles T-Shirts for DW,DS and myself. Mrs. Incred, Dash and Mr. Incred respectively. It was really, kind of fun. People would smile and such when they saw us. It was really great when the CM checking us in asked where Violet was? I responded, "You can't see her...oh yeah, she's invisible".

I felt pretty slick!!!!

Yes, it's corny, but it was a lot of fun. My DD7 can pull an amazing vanishing act, and having those matching shirts made it a LOT easier to keep track of her. Something else I didn't realize until my son mentioned it -- not only do matching shirts make it easier for the adults to keep track of the kids, the kids have an easier time finding the adults. That was truly invaluable with the crowds in June.

FWIW, we did matching tiedye shirts, then personalized them with Disney iron-ons. I highly recommend www.tiedyeusa.com for the shirts. You have to order 24 shirts to get the wholesale prices, but that wasn't as hard as it sounds. There were 5 people in my group for 4 days (20 shirts), and then we wanted an extra day of shirts for just immediate family (4 shirts), and then a friend ordered some for her family as well. The price averaged out to $5.25/shirt even with shipping costs. I'm not a huge fan of tiedye, but it was highly visible in the parks.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

I dressed my four kids in matching shirts last year when we were in the parks....but I didn't wear a matching shirt with them (too corney for me!) I put them in brightly colored Disney shirts so it was easier to keep track of them. My daughter is 13 now though so she will NOT wear anything "matching" her brothers ever again! LOL

You really have to go witht he family on this one. They are incredibly corny, but it's up to you if that's a good or bad thing.

One compromise is to use a logo like the MMC logo, or one of the parks logo, and design a shirt for each person. You can make it a bit more stylish that way. But, whether that is better or worse is up to you!

Nothing wrong with wearing them, lets us know who you are.

I got DD and myself matching shirts at Disney Store on clearance about 4 months ago ($15 for two tshirts). I also made us a set of matching Flip Flop TShirts (from familyfun.com).

I would never do this usually, think it is corny, but I want to be different this time and I think that this is one way to do it.

Buzzster, if you were there the 2nd or 3rd week of June, I think we saw you! That was cute.

Corny....but who cares! Alot of families do this! You can even make your own shirts by getting iron on transfer sheets at "walmart" and visiting the DIS boards...
http://disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=105

You can ask many of the posters in this section of the boards and they will personalize what ever design you may pick out. Some of these people are VERY talented!!!

Last year I made Dukes of Hazzard / Disney shirts for my DS & DH. We had people stopping us left and right wanting to know where we had gotten them...even CM's.

Corny??? Maybe a little, but if you & your family want to do it, go for it! Have fun!! I wouldn't make someone wear it if they would be miserable. It's not worth ruining a vacation!

Corny? Absolutely! ::yes:: But soooo fun! If everyone in your group is game, I say go for it. My family will be wearing matching LIME green shirts with the TFW logo at Animal Kingdom in a few weeks.... all 10 of us! :teeth:

We didn't do exactly matching shirts, but same color shirts. We had a red day, blue day, green day, etc. DH's shirts were polo's, DS's were Disney T's and mine were an assortment of both. It work great for us. I would've loved to have matching shirts with logos, but DH said no way!

my dh would not do the matching shirts. So to get around that I did the same color shirts. My 2 ds I did match but we just matched the color. One day I did get him to wear an LSU shirt and all of us were dressed in LSU!:cool1: It is much easier to find your crew if you remember the color or shirts. Good luck and don't worry if you look corny, Mickey doesn't mind.:rotfl:

Thanks Everyone!

Luckily "the family" are pretty easy going, my 4yr old twins will think it's neat and well... Daddy would go along. So I am defiantely pondering which way to go but I think I will do something.

themudd4.. thank you, another AWESOME part of these boards.

Oh... keep the thoughts and ideas and links coming this is great!

If your entire group wears the same shirts it's easier for you to stay together and not be split up during parades or on rides. It's also a lot easier to remember what yr child is wearing in case you misplace one. (We had that happen once, everyone knew the chid belonged to us since she was wearing the same clothes as her siblings.)

We do a lot of matching clothes when we're going to be out in crowds. It's fun and keeps us together. The pictures are really neat looking too.

www.tiedyeusa.com is amazing! Thanks for that link--I sense a purchase in our future. . . .

Good point about the kids being able to find the adults easier, too. I always worry about whether I'll remember what they were wearing, but I never considered the problem might never come up if they could easily spot me, or describe me by pointing to their shirt. Now it's a safety issue--I must have those shirts!

Corny? Maybe...but our family will have matching shirts each day. My Dh is very artistic and has hand painted shirts for each day of our trip. One day we have Mickey and Minnie. One day we each have one of the park icons. One day we have Bugs Life characters. One day we have Lilo and Stitch characters. One day we have Pooh characters, etc. Our shirts are the same color each day (yellow one day, red the next, etc.), but each of us has a different character/iconon the shirts except for Mickey and Mnnnie. The shirts will match our restaurant or park plans for the day.

I say do it if you think it would be fun!
