We were empty nesters but now we have lovely Isabella. We've been married 18 years. I brought 4 kids to the marriage, some of his 4 visited regularly. Most of the 8 are leading happy, productive lives.
 

Empty-nester here. That sounds so depressing! (older DS is a college grad, living near-by, works at the same place as DH & our younger DS is still in college - less than 3 hrs away.)
DH & I have been married for almost 29 years! Yikes - it doesn't seem that long!
 
Married for 7 years. DS just turned 2 last month and #2 is on the way in January. :)
 
Single mom for 17 wonderful years(well most of them!)and.....soon to be an empty nester!:(
