I am headed to the mouse house in 70 days and really want to have some shirts made for the fam. I am clueless as to how to do this. I understand there are designers, but after that point, what do you do? Sorry! Ask me anything about teeth or cakes and I can help! ;)

Teeth, do you work for a DDS? My brother is a DDS and I work for him. A long way from Graphic Design :D

There is a sticky at the top that can help. You can either look through the disigners work on their photo websites. OR if you want something specific or custom, you can post a thread asking for that disign. Once the disign is created, the disigner will post a link to the disign. From there, you download the image. Print from your printer onto iron on trasnfer paper that can be purchased at a local craft store (follow the directions included with the transfer paper). Then iron on your own t- shirts. It's very easy.

Yes, I don't think enough new visitors understand how much good information is available in the sticky threads at the top of the forum. (and the work that was involved in pulling it all together)

I encourage everyone, new visitor or not, to see if there aren't some valuable tips for you!! :wizard:

Thank you for the replies! I'll need to get this all figured out since it looks like I've crossed over to making shirts part of our future trips! :) I wondered if I needed a special printer or special ink also?

Shell-yes I do! I'm a dental hygienist! I will have to look at your disigns!
Rust-I saw LOTS of sweet things in your album I would love! :)

No special printer, just an ink jet with regular ink. If you have a laser printer, I believe they make special iron ons for those. If you have a Michaels or Joann nearby, they will have the transfer paper by the T-shirts/fabric paint/tie die stuff.

Here are wish shirts I did for a family using an Epson Workforce.

This is something I did for one of the hygienists a while ago. It is flipped to be printed on light transfer paper.

some transfer paper is definitely better than other....I believe most DISers will agree that Amy (Mickey) sells the best! Cheap transfers have been known to not hold up.
