My DD is starting the CP in late August. My husband and I are planning on visiting WDW in early Nov., will she be able to access the hub to make reservations prior to arriving in FL. Also when we arrive how does check-in work if she is staying with us. Does she need to request off the day on check-in so she can be there to check-in with us? What if she is working that day, can we check-in and she meet us and show her ID later? Also, what about online check-in, someone said that is listed on the Hub as an option. Has anyone done this and how does that work? Any info would be sooo helpful. Thanks.

Unfortunately, your DD will not be able to book your reservation until she starts training for her role and gets access to the Hub.

She will have 24 hours prior to your arrival to go to the resort and show them her ID. She does not need to be with you during the actual check-in. On-line check in has a separate counter which speeds up the process. When you check-in on-line you will get the chance to verify everything ahead of time which is why the actual hotel check-in is quicker.

JudeeK... we are in the same situation... our daughter starts Aug 23rd and we are planning on going to see her Nov 5th - 12th.... we have already made our own reservations just incase... once she has access to the HUB will we see if she can get us a better discount... we were able to get the Yacht Club with a bounce back offer.. I am hoping that she has a 50% off and a dining discount!!!!

Hi Maggied... our daughter is also checking is on Aug. 23rd and we have also made reservations just in case. However I have been able to contact a friend who is a seasonal cast member and she was able to pull up the room reservations for November. You will be happy to know that they are offering 50% off if your daughter stays with you and 40% if not. Alsoat this time the fall additional discounts are not available. We too are waiting to find out if there is a dining plan discount as is being offered for the summer@ 26.99 /adult per day for the regular dining plan. Hope this helps.

Thanks... it does help!! We are hoping for that discounted dining plan!!!! What job will your daughter have? My DD had her role changed yesterday...the changed her from QSFB to merchandise. She has a nut allergy so they said they couldn't find her any place to work that didn't have nuts... she was sooooo excited....

So glad the info was helpful. I will keep you in the loop if and when I get more info. Hoping for the DP discount too!!! Our daughter is assigned Food Service b/c she will be attending the Culinary Institute of America in March,2011. She will be majoring in baking and pattiserre, she notified Disney and is hoping to be placed at one of the bakery locations. Fingers crossed :)

My DS is arriving Aug. 9 for the CP. Thanks for the info on the discounts--it is so frustrating planning our trip(s) without knowing everything. We want to go mid-December and I have one reservation since I had a PIN but would like to finalize things. The obsessive planner in me is so excited but also frazzled:laughing: He will be in Attractions and is counting the days!

Well we just changed our resrvation all around... we ended up getting free dining for the week we wanted to go ... and with 5 adults that a nice chunk of change. So we changed to POR ... it ended up saving me at $1100 off of what I would have been paying at the Yacth Club with a 40% discount...
