Well, after our not so great 1st day, we enjoyed a peaceful nights rest. I got up early(6am)and got ready for the day. I knew we would be changing rooms so I wanted to get things moving early. After some discussion with my mother, she talked about not being happy with things at the BC. Since she was the one helping everyone out with this trip, I asked her what would make her happy. She said she couldn't put her finger on it but that something was missing. I knew right then what it was...she wanted to switch hotels(Poly). I told her I would go see what I could do without spending any more money. Talked to the front desk and had a very helpful girl this time(can't remember her name). She called and made arrangements. She said there was a big price difference if I wanted waterview at the Poly. I explained that we originally had a discount at BC and didn't want to spend any more money so we would take gv at the Poly. This was fine with me because we would at least be at the Poly where the rooms were bigger. Everything was arranged and we checked out of BC.

We had cars so we did the transfer ourselves. We got to the Poly at 10:15 to checkin. We were told the rooms weren't ready which was fine. I made sure I told them that it was dd's b-day. I did see the girl write down the numbers of the rooms but not the buildings. Uh oh, first floor rooms. My mother has a thing about not being on the first floor. I thought I had done enough complaining and would let the rooms slide. Only requested non-smoking. I figured anyone that didn't like it would have to just get over it.

We left to go to Chef Mickey for dd's 9th b-day! We had a great time. Got lots of pictures and video of the screamer with the characters for the first time. This was one time her screamer name didn't fit. Everyone really enjoyed the meal and the interaction with the characters was terrific. They brought out a cupcake for dd which she enjoyed but they didn't make too much of a fuss. After all our fun we decided to go to MK. We knew it was late but that is what dd really wanted to do on her b-day. Our timing was off due to switching resorts(wanted to go at opening).

We got there about 12:30. Much too hot and crowded. We were able to go on Pirates(the screamer was scared so she was quiet on this ride.) Everything else had really long lines. Heat was really starting to get to us. We saw some of the parade and decided the best thing to do would be to go back to the hotel and get our rooms.

Well, the news was great this time. The front desk informed us the rooms were ready. They told us we were in the Tahiti building. I was thrilled and tried to explain to everyone that this was one of the best places to be! Imagine my surprise when we ended up with lagoon view instead of gv. I felt like I had hit the lottery!!! So glad I didn't say anything about the 1st floor rooms when we checked in. Our rooms were the best! I couldn't have requested anything better. We all had a perfect view of the castle. I had 1025, Nan had 1030 and the CA family had 1031.

After we absorbed the view the moms went on the Walmart hunt for some snacks for everyone. We came back to the hotel after a couple of hours and the guys had taken the kids swimming. Everyone loved the new pool. What a great new addition to this wonderful resort. We ate supper in the rooms while the kids played on the grass and the beach. We all sat on the patio and watched the fireworks. We decided that after a good night sleep, we would try the parks early the next morning. Nan put it best when she said "Now I feel like I am home."

Sounds like you did hit the jackpot with your rooms! I'm glad you were able to switch resorts without much trouble. Hope your dd had a wonderful birthday. :)

I am enjoying reading your report. Sounds like Pixie Dust came your way.

A better day - something you and your family really needed and deserved after day 1!

Thanks for sharing!
