1. Use ee when you can. You can get so much done in the short time the park is open early. It allows you to relax a little as the day goes on so you can enjoy your vaca.

2. Take advantage of e-night. We felt it was the best money we spent on the trip. We had little to no waits on all the rides. We were able to ride some things 2-3 times.

3. If you go when there are extended hours I stronly recommend taking a break during the day. We found it really helped everyone to regroup.

4. During the summer bring bug spray. The mosquitos were bad this year.

5. Also, if you go during the summer, you have to get to the parks early and leave them by noo. The heat and humidity is just too intense if you don't take an extended break. If you are with children(young) they need the time to cool off and rest. If you have older kids(teens) you could probably get away with an extended lunch inside or do some of the shows.

6. We went to Walmart on the 2nd day we were there. We loaded up on water, soda, snack foods, cereal and milk, bread, pbj and some deli meats. We found this to be really helpful with all the kids. Although we still ate out everyday, it helped to keep the snack food buying in the parks to a minimum.

7. If you go with a large group, it's o.k. to split up. We just came up with a plan to meet up at some point and we kept our cell phones handy so we could get in touch with each other.

8. Write down where you park your car! CAdad will attest to the fact that it is no fun walking around in the hot sun for 2 hrs looking for a silver rental car.

9. Don't put off taking the pictures you want. I only wanted a family picture at the Poly on the hill. It kept getting put off and put off. Well, Looking through all my pictures we don't have 1 picture of my family(me dh and 3 kids) Since this will probably be the last vaca with all of us(ds is going off to college next year and dh says he has been to WDW 3 times and that is enough for him)I will not have the picture I wanted.

10. Enjoy your resort! For us the resort was a big part of the trip. After 1 night at the BC we weren't happy so we made sure we tried to fix the situation. We would not settle for band-aid solutions to any problems we had. We all pay big money to go to WDW and we should never feel as though we haven't gotten our monies worth! Our move to the Poly was a huge positive for us. It will be very difficult to ever stay anywhere else(and we probably won't). We made sure we spent time in the pools and walking around on the property. We truly loved everything about the Poly!

Final thoughts..........I can't believe it is over. I spent so much time trying to make this trip perfect that it was very sad when it ended. We had a wonderful time and have memories that will last forever! Nan and I are already thinking about the Disney cruise with my 2 dd's. (It wouldn't be for another 1 1/2yrs but it is something to start thinking about now).

Hope you have picked up some tips for your own trips or perhaps just a few laughs! These boards were very helpful to me and things wouldn't have gone as well without what I learned here. Hope you have all enjoyed!

Thanks for the great tips and for the great report. I'm so glad you had a good time. Going with a large group is always challenging but a lot of fun. Time to start planning another one!
