Hello all,

I have been taking the family to DLand for the past 7 years.... we always stay on property with a Disney vacation plan for 5 days and 4 nights...character breakfast, the works....

We are going to a cheerleading competition March 20-22nd (Fri to Sunday)

I wanted to add three days in the park at the end.... So I would need a hotel for Sun-Tues nights leaving Wed where we could pack everything in the rental car and then fly out that night...

We are staying with the team at the Doubletree for the comp, but I wanted to get a hotel that might afford the wife and I some "privacy" ...ideally i would be in easy walking distance to the park...doesnt have to be 5 star, but would like something that isnt a flophouse....

I am thinking i will book everything separately this time because it is such a short trip...any recommendations on a hotel and/or tickets for 3 days? (I am guessing sunday evening wont be worth spending for a whole day of ticket :(

Thanks in advance!!

Hmmm, privacy. Well there are family suites around but I have never stayed in one so I can't help you much there. Sorry. I do think you should book seperately tho, that's always more cost effective. If you have an Ent book/card you could check with the HoJo, maybe getting 2 connecting rooms at the Ent rate, then you could have some nice privacy. :)

Thanks, I havent gotten the Ent book, but i might... and BTW you are typing about 10 miles from me...I am in Vacaville...too funny

I am thinking about waiting last minute to find deals, but it is Spring Break at that time...maybe the economy will keep the place from being crazy...we usually go fall off season times...

I would also suggest looking into the Howard Johnson. The Ent card rate is a great deal! You can get an Entertainment Book very cheap now (can be any area's book, doesn't have to be Anaheim). You just need the card for check-in, not to reserve.
Here is the link of the dates and rates

You can get two connecting rooms for extra privacy. The HOJO is very nice and a short walk to the park! We are checking in there tomorrow and stayed there 3 times last year! :)

BTW - we live in Eastern Contra Costa Cnty (Brentwood)! :)

How funny!!! I'm in VV regularly, one of my BFF's lives there. :)

I wouldn't wait too long, Spring Break is pretty peak time. I'd book now and then see what pops up later. Especially if you want to do the HoJo Ent Rate, you don't need the card until you check in so you've got some time to get it.

Talk about funny....I'm in VV too, and planning a trip in March! Small world. Anyway, we are a family of 5, so I've been looking at all the different hotels and suites. I found some good prices on suites right accross the street. I think so far the best deals I've seen are at Desert Inn and Suites. I'm not sure if you're still looking or not, but just thought I would mention it.:thumbsup2
