Family of the Day at Pop?

What is it exactly? We were family of the day our first night there, but didn't get back until midnight, and still have no idea what it meant. We had a congratulations certificate on our bed, had had turn down service, without requesting it, and a congratultions message on our messages. Still have no idea what it meant though. lol It was a nice surprise and we left a little note of apprecation with Mousekeeping's tip the next day. The chocolates from the turndown were nice.

We got the same thing while we were there. I don't know if it means anything either

I am sure it is just something nice to do. We had that happen in 2002 at Donald's Restaurantosaurus. It is just something Disney does special. Just a little out of the ordinary.

we were housekeepings family of the day, on sept 27th, we got the certificate, turn down and chocolates too. and a picture frame, and the messages also.

I think basically that is all it is. I had thought it was part of the year of a miilion dreams thing. Nothing super special, but still nice.

I have no idea. My daughter was "pop star" of the day though. We were just getting off the magical express and I was explaining YOAMD to my mom. We got off the bus and a CM bypassed of ther kids and beelined it right to my daughter, handed her a bunch of balloons with a pin, had her write her name in chalk in front of the main door and I took her picture. I know that wasn't a "dream" but it was enough for me to just completely forget about YOAMD altogther. lol I was just happy we got *some sort of recognition or something. I felt bad for the other kids that were watching. I have no idea why *MY daughter was picked and no one else? But anyway, that was all there was to it, but it was nice and made our day.
